I caved in and watched the trailer, figuring that I'd already had the big stuff from it spoiled by others. I was right.

But holy crap it was amazing, and the animation for the finale looks absolutely top-notch grade-A ballin'-ass perfect. They really went into beast mode, it looks like. And I can't wait. x_X

With all this stuff from NYCC comes all these idiots posting it, and I don't want to read it or see it, so I'm gone from the forums for now. School's in its last few weeks...at least, normal school. I'll be sticking around for another 3 weeks to get another class out of the way, though. Anyway. This week is the last week of classes, with a paper due Friday and finals the next week, so I'll be stressing enough as is.

Don't worry, I'll still check in here, so if you leave a blog comment or a PM, I'll get it, and probably talk back. I don't know that I'll be blogging, though. We'll see. This week's gotten off to a much better start. History was lulworthy today...someone asked a question about why a Roman imperial family member would've done something, and the professor was like "You don't understand because you're not powerful. None of us are really powerful."

Awkward silence.

I raise my hand coyly and he's like "Oh, you're powerful?" Nod. "Oh, alright then, good." Hilarity ensued, ya?

Astronomy was much more bearable, since we were actually ON TOPIC, and Latin was Latin was eh.

My uncle's funeral was today, but I couldn't make it, obviously. School, scheduling, getting to the airport, everything like that just kept me from getting there. Thanks and hearts to you guys who commented. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy, like when I'm in my pedobear suit. ^_^

Played a lot of Halo today, like usual...FINALLY got a promotion. Guh. Kept getting teamed up with idiots against generals (highest rank, duh) so I never won, so I never lvl'd up until my COMPETENT friend got on. The real reason for bringing Halo up again is that I began an endeavor!

I woke up today to find out Mom had called again while I was asleep, and left a voice mail. So I listened to it, and it turns out someone on my dad's side of the family died last night. I didn't call her back to talk about getting a flight up to the funeral because, well, I didn't want it on my mind today while I was in 4 classes, taking 1 quiz and 1 test. Neither of those was too bad, but I did get really pissed again just sitting in astronomy listening to all his BS.

I probably won't be flying up to the funeral because I've got a paper due Friday and I just need to get away from everything...somehow. But I know I can't. Guh.

Just got off the phone with Mom, who was obviously in tears because she got worried about me when I wasn't answering the phone for days, and then heard about the shooting outside Chicago and, like any mom, imagined the worst happening to her kid. I told her to have a little faith in me, but I don't think she does. :P

As far as Uncle Mackie goes, well, he was an amazing person and a great human being. They think it was a heart attack, so he at least went quickly without any prolonged pain or anything. His wife found him in the bathroom in the middle of the night...and at least he went out right after Valentine's Day, when he could be happy with her.

I told Mom the story of Cleobis and Biton, who dragged their mother's chariot to a feast themselves and were celebrated as heroes. Hera decided to give them a gift for their service, and asked their mom what they should get. Their mom just wanted them to die on their happiest night, so that night, they passed away in their sleep peacefully. I kind of imagine Mackie going out like that.

I'm not a big religious type, so I won't be "praying", per se. But I do know he had to have gone out happily, with nothing left to bind him to this world. If there is a Heaven and a Hell, he has to go to Heaven, no doubt. If not, he'll be resting a peaceful sleep.

In the spirit of this week's Bleach episode, he didn't die alone.

So, Tuesday night I told my parents everything in my last blawg in a big emo rant, and vented most of it to mom, and felt better. Then I talked to dad and told him all of it, working myself back up again, and he kept making comments/suggestions which kept pissing me off more, so I hung up.

Wednesday I woke up late for history class and decided to skip all my other classes...I knew I needed a break, so I took one. :\

Mom's been calling nonstop since I would've gotten out of class Wednesday, and I've been ignoring her calls nonstop. In fact, my phone's been on silent for over 24 hrs. She sent me a text telling me to answer and some lecture-ish email about why I need to talk to her and blah. She tells me to suck up the whole thing with astronomy, which I was really mad about, and my way of sucking things up is not to suck them up, but to blow them off...which she doesn't seem to get. So bringing it up constantly is just gonna make me stay mad for longer, and so I'll just not talk to her. xD

Haha I made some comment about how I tried to make myself feel better by playing Halo, and now she's all concerned that I get happiness out of "killing" people. They just don't get it at all...don't get that it's an ego thing, and don't get that it's NOT REAL, which is why "killing" is A-OKAY!

Srsly, adults worry about kids going on a rampage because they think we can't tell between real and fake, and then they can't tell why it's perfectly fine to be happy about "killing" a completely fake representation of someone. Next time she makes a comment about it I'll be like, "remember when there were 21 kids in your living room playing Halo and screaming at each other at 2 in the morning? Yeah, it's not just me, so hush. :) "

ANYWAY. xD

Saw the new Bleach episode today...not big on the action, but on the emotion. Quote of the episode: "Don't you dare die alone, Kuchiki." Kind of felt really Kingdom Hearts-ish with people's hearts being outside their bodies, living inside their bonds with friends. "I was entrusted with Kaien-dono's heart..." ^_^;

Latin test tomorrow (well, today, now) and I'm totally not ready. xD Oh wellz, I never am! tehehe.

I got to bed around 1 AM Monday morning, and when my alarm went off at 9:10 for my 10:10 class, I said bleh. I really didn't want to get up, and in retrospect, I maybe shouldn't have. xD

But I managed to wake back up at 9:49 and bolt to history klass, which wasn't too bad. Nor was my Intro to Classical Civ klass...I actually knew something the professor forgot at that point in time, tehehe. ^_^; But the girl next to me coughed badly the whole time. -_-

Then came astronomy. I was under the impression that the test was tomorrow(Wed) but apparently not. That's right, I walked in and took a test I hadn't known was coming. Oh well, it's not like he asked anything I would've studied. The old fart's really a physics professor, and it shows, because he doesn't ask, like, ANYTHING about the sun, which is the only astronomical thing we've mentioned in the like 5 weeks of klass. He shows us a picture, of, say, a prominence on the sun. Doesn't explain what it is, what drives it, or anything else. Just a picture.

Then asks nothing about the sun on the test. Instead, he asks laws and who discovered this or that...even if he only breezed over them in klass, or didn't mention them at all.

Basically, he needs to teach something else, and this is the worst science klass experience I've ever had.

Then I couldn't read the Latin poem I thought we had to translate...ended up skipping the ones we did have to...so I kept her from calling on me to translate by asking a lot of questions. xD

Came home and wanted to vent some frustration via Halo, but managed to suck at that, too, so I just played Super Smash. Got tired by 8 and went to bed...was in bed for 13 hours, probably got about 8 hours of sleep. Guitar, yelling, hackeysack, TV, noise upstairs, people driving by with their AWESOME sound systems' bass. You know, the usual. -_-

Basically, nothing went right. Oh well, today's astro lab wasn't bad at all...but now I have to go buy a different edition of my math book, then do a LOT of homework before going to turn that in and take our first test. x_o

No more icon additions, at least not regularly...*shrug* I think I picked most of the people I want, and 100's a nice number.

Yeah okay I kinda like died for a month there, in tv.com terms. Just kinda lurked...eh. Not much to discuss on the forums, and just kinda forgot about blawgginz.

Got my Xbox! That's where my life has been. LOTS of Halo 3...I'll probably post a "slideshow" of screenshots sometime. There have been a few times where I've been so good for an instant that I would end up scaring myself. Like one time, when I SUBCONSCIOUSLY FELT an attack coming. I didn't see it, hear it, or anything...just knew it was coming, and without thinking I threw my shield down the instant it came. Blocked a ho. :D

Then I was like "o_o; I've played way too much."

Some things have been pretty crazy lately...two fires in my friend's dorm hall, a bomb threat today in the Humanities building, and some whacky weather. Nothing as bad as the other end of the state, though, where the tornadoes ripped through a friend's dorm. She's fine, but most of her stuff is gone...which isn't the important part, obviously, and luckily.

I'm kinda losing the feverish love of Avatar...season 3 hasn't had good enough action for me to keep rewatching it, and I've rewatched the first two seasons to death. So without my constant injection of lovely Avatar, I'm kinda growing "eh" about it, which I never EVER thought would happen. It never even happened during the 9-month span.

In addition to rewatching some of Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop, though, Bleach has definitely gotten back into its rhythm and is picking up the slack from the lack of Avatar. The last two episodes were completely amazing. Quote of the first episode: "La muerte."

That means "death" if don't know Spanish. And it was followed by one of the most "oh sh!t" displays of power in anime. Jaw srsly almost fell off. Then something bad like immediately happened and the episode ended and I was all O_O. Then this week's episode, although kinda all over the place, was also pretty ballin. "Shall I force it down your throat?" would have to be the quote of the episode...the serious ones would be spoilers...and out of context, this one's just lulworthy.

The new semester's in full swing and I'm liking.

Roman History: The professor is pretty awesome...you might have seen him on the History Channel, and he's also the professor of the history of rock/punk here. Quiz tomorrow, and I haven't really read. xD

Intro to Classical Civilization: Eh, what can I say? It's an intro class. The Roman history class is 304, and this is 201, so there's a bit of a difference. I haven't learned much in here, just brushed up on stuff I did in the Latin club in high school. First class with a certain professor, who's pretty funny.

Latin: We're reading Catullus right now...read him in high school, but now we're reading some stuff that's not quite appropriate for high school. One poem, he starts out by saying he will rape these two guys in the back and in the face, all to reinforce his masculinity. The great part about Latin is that it actually has specific words for both kinds of above-mentioned rape. Another poem warned this guy not to do something, and the punishment would be radishes and fish up his bum if he did it. Fish. Scales. xD

Astronomy: Eh, this professor's just an old gasbag who goes on about how my generation doesn't appreciate this or that. I actually pay attention this semester (only 30 people in the class, not 130, so I can't hide on my laptop) but I'm not learning anything, still. Boo.

Math: Statistical Reasoning. Graphs and probability. Yawn. Easy as pie, but a cool teacher and cool kids in the class, so I don't mind as much. It's at 5 pm, too, instead of 9:40 am like last semester, and on Thursdays it's my only class.

Halo has definitely kept me from some schoolwork, I won't lie. I have a quiz in 3 of my 4 classes tomorrow (the first 3 on the list) and I'm not really ready for the history one or the Latin one (okay, not as ready as I'd like to be for that one). But I've made some new friends through it...friends on campus, even, so I'll actually be able to see them. xD My RA and I play with another RA upstairs, and my roommate (who also has it) introduced me to a friend I've gotten along with swimmingly. Chris (XXX100DEMONSXXX) from here also plays, w00t.

I'm hungry...OH, and I figured out why my debit card wasn't working like I mentioned in the last blawg. I was trying Mom's, not my, PIN. xD I guess memorizing hers kinda backfired...

Got sick last week...just a runny nose, but blowing my nose so much rubbed my skin raw and it got infected. Same thing happened over the summer, so I knew what prescription to get. The thing is, this was during our poopy weather and the Student Health Center was fully booked. So I had Mom - a nurse practitioner - get her clinic to call in the prescription at Walgreen's. The thing is, they wrote my name down wrong, so they didn't have me in the database when I went to pick it up. So I had Mom call the pharmacist and set him straight, which is when they figured out the name mistake. Got on the infection pretty early and it's almost gone...but man, way too much effort to try and get some cream. xD

I'll finally get my 50-blog emblem for this one, w00t! Took way too long, since I took a month off, amirite? xD This will also be 100 people in the icon, because for this blawg I added Ishida and Ulquiorra from Bleach.

Pretty poopy weekend.

Stayed up all night Friday waiting for Avatar, which, as you can tell by my blog below, I did love. But I injected lots of caffeine to help make it through that, and the energy lingered until 5 AM Saturday when I crashed. Got up at 11, packed my stuff, showered, and hit the road to come back to campus at 1-ish.

Well, turns out, my roomy was misinformed. He thought the dorms opened back up Friday, but they actually opened back up at 8 AM today...so we spent the night, bored as hell, in a hotel. We both woke up around 2 AM with messed up sleep schedules and we've been up since.

Once we unloaded our things here, we went hunting for my Xbox 360 here in town. Except everywhere we went was sold out of Premiums, which is the bundle I want. So we returned here, I ordered mine online, and I'm tired and annoyed and poo. Also, my debit card didn't work at Walmart because I apparently put the wrong PIN in? Wtf...

I'm going to sleep. xD
