...and it was pure garbage. I expected it to at least be some fun, mindless action, but the film was so awfully paced and there was so little time and effort given to introducing the characters that I just couldn't care about what happened to them. There was nothing interesting about any of them. The aliens were barely even introduced, so there was no possible way of being amazed/scared/affected in any way by them. You never once get a good enough look at what they look like. Even worse, the human characters didn't seem surprised or awed or anything that some alien life forms have come to Earth. It was as if they already knew that aliens exist. And there was so much thoughtless, cliched action with very little pacing or proper pausing in between that I began to question whether the film even had a script at all. It's not like there was an actual plot anyway, other than "There's some kind of disruption here BANG BANG BANG BANG oh wait they're aliens BANG BANG BANG BANG I'll never leave you BANG BANG BANG BANG" and on and on like that. And don't get me started on the dialogue, which was so ham-handed and laughable that I chuckled every 10-15 minutes. Just imagine all of that for two hours straight.

Sorry, but I didn't find it to be any kind of Friday night entertainment in any way, shape or form. Dumb fun at its worst.

just got back from a showing myself. I couldn't have said it better.

Looks interesting, but I said the same thing about Battle: LA as well. LZ71

The Independence Day remake was very unimpressive.

I'm not quite sure if there has already been a thread on this.

My friend and I (both local new orleanians) have been discussing what the rest of the world thinks of the city.

He says that people think we're a crime-ridden city constantly ravaged by hurricanes and (more recently) covered in oil.

I disagree entirely.

But you can never be sure of these things unless you ask.

So Gamespot OT, what do you think of New Orleans?
