Wow i can't believe he just asked that.Sub-ZeroJoe

Ya, no joke. Someone has to be really behind on the modern times if they asked that kind of a question.

You already spent the money on the xbox. Rather than get some money to spend on whatever you aren't completely sure of, keep your investement. There are many different new games coming out in the next several months that are going to be on a higher magnitude with newer technologies. For the short term, I'd try stretching out to other you games you haven't really tried and might be interesting to you.

I loved the combat at first. However this was only because I was fighting enemies that stood in front of me. When I went to fighting in PvP, or usually just defending myself against **** that were 40+ levels higher and ganked me during quests, it was then I realized that there's a major flaw with how their combat works. How is it fair that I have to press all these combos to do a melee attack against a ranged player thats much further away? Or meanwhile, running at them? It's trying to press 4-8 buttons at once while following a player in a PvP setting. Not to mention the ranged players have snares and roots so you're screwed from the beginning because no matter what the ranged player is going to have an advantage over you initially.

I really loved the game, then again... I really hated it. Maybe I'll come back to it. Seriously doubt anytime soon though.

It's really great for PC gamers.

For example, getting four PC EA Sports titles was like buying just Madden 08 for the 360. Even the PS2 versions are $19.99~$29.99.

I'm usually not a EA Sports fan either, but I do like sports. Since this deal is so good, I think it was worth it. It's good games for cheap. But some of these titles are so good, like Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 and FIFA 08, I would pay full price for them. The deal got me into it.

When Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 comes out, I'll be ready to pay full price for it.

ASK_Story

I think it's funny how they still make games for the PS2 :D

Tbh, I don't know what to think of it. I'm interested in it, but then again... nothing is appealing to me other than it's another next gen RPG game that looks good and is by the same guys that made Oblivion. So I'm not sure here :(

[QUOTE="Enosh88"][QUOTE="matte3560"]

I HATE WWII!

we're gonna be great friends 'eh?

Lach0121

I still think we need another world war so that the games industry gets new material

or a ww2 game from the point of view from a wehrmacht soldier. First at france, then he gets transfered to afrika under Rommel and at the end to the russian front. The final battle would be the battle for Berlin where he would die defending the reichstag.

[QUOTE="Qixote"][QUOTE="kamix"]

Please, no lasers.

Theres not even the slightest evidence right now that they will make realistic portable weaponry, it will continue to be much more economicly viable to use projectile weapons.

Not to mention that when I'm in a warzone I don't want to be running around going 'pew pew'.

kamix

Is that the extent of your imagination. Lasers = 'pew pew'? Whatever. What's the point in having a futuristic game if no one is willing to have an open mind? I was actually thinking more along the lines of something like F.E.A.R.s Type 7 Particle Gun. You can't tell me that wasn't a cool gun. Spare me the "no evidence" bit; again if you think far enough into the future (much beyond the next 10 years) who knows what is possible? And I wouldn't expect the game to be totally realistic. No CoD game has been that realistic.

I wasn't imagining it I was basing it on the futuristic war games I HAVE played, for eg. Battlefield 2142 (from a team just as loved as COD) that was just attrocious IMO.

did you really actualy play it? It had no lasers in it, all guns were shooting bullets just like they are today, the only laser thing was that turret. and it was the best in the series. BF2 is all about dolphin diving your way to the top or airplane whoring, in BF2142 you actualy have to work as a squad and vehicles aren't so overpowerd.

acutally if you are familiar with the portable rail gun, it is a magnetic weapon that launches a projectile at high velocities, second tesla and all back in the day were testing electical energy weapons and that was years and years ago. so in order to make an actual beam rifle would take more and more effort, but it isnt impossible, and cost not near a big an issue for weapons here in the US, as anything else, thats all america spends its money on, developing weapons, we have satellites with lasers, we have hand held lasers to guide laser guided ordinance in. so it is possible, hell it may even be a reality as we speak....

*****EDIT:

Quoted the wrong person here, lol. Ignore that and just take it for the other guy criticzing the game. :P

Why is it attrocious in your view? I personally loved the game. I played it for months. I moved from that to BF2 and enjoy them both, but prefer 2142. From what I noticed, it seems a lot of things they got wrong in BF2 they fixed in BF2142 and it seems more balanced and actual teamplay. That's just my perspective though and could be different from someone else's. Please explain yours.

Well to get that achievement you got to win a match with all of your equipment destroyed. The easiest, and probably cheapest way of doing it, would be to have a friend versus you in a match and do only high attacks for a while to break your head armor and move down from there. I don't know if the game will count it in a versus match, but I don't see why it wouldn't as it isn't specific to such a point.

You're complaining about how many times you have to press a main button for a game? There's always going to be a major button you're going to be pressing more than often. Try thinking of how many times you've pressed the space bar in your posts. Are you worried about your space Bar? Should you be? No, because it's designed to take into account how much stress its going to go through. Unless it's faulty or going through unusual stress, it won't break. In other words, don't worry yourself.

From the many different responses it seems this is just, once again, all a matter of opinion.... :roll:

Just like the developers said, you don't need to play Fable 1 in order to understand what is going on in Fable 2 because they've made the time frames largely apart.

However, Fabl 1 is cheap enough to play on PC and I would recommend you play it. I loved the story and it's very fun game.
