@NaturallyEvil: Yes, they are different but as I've said, they can relate to it. The platforming, which requires jumping and dashing. Entering dungeons are nostalgic to the classic games. The charm of the corebots. The gunfights. Too many to mention. I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

@dadlm: I agree. This is just another Quantum Break which was received negatively because of the PS4 v X1 war. QB's issue on the X1 is that it was short, while the Win10 version has issues that were already patched. Here in ReCore, the only flaw that I can say is its loading times. It takes usually 30-45 minutes, max is 2 minutes (rarely). I'm currently playing the first 4 hours, and I don't have any bad experience so far.

Upon playing the first 4 hours of the game, I can say that this is a fun, story-driven action-RPG-ish game. If you really know how the old school Megaman and Metroid plays, you will really relate into this game. As much as I respect the reviewer's opinion, it only proves that reviews are really subjective. Come on, if you really think that this game is great, do not link the Might No. 9 fiasco because ReCore is WAAAAY too far from that.

Play the game. See for yourself. Do not depend on reviews. After all, they are just gamers like us with different tastes. And most especially, DO NOT RELY ON TROLLS. Do not rely on fanboys who don't even play it in the first place because either they don't have an Xbox One, they hate the Windows 10, they hate Microsoft, etc.
