We are in 2011 and the best LCD still can't compete with an average CRT when it comes to color accuracy and contrast.

I use a LCD monitor and everything looks great, I have no problem with dark levels.

Still too expensive to be adopted by the masses at this point. Many are still catching up with HD, and won't be likely to just turn around and buy another TV.
