Quite sad, The Kuros plasmas beat CRT, next years Panasonic plasmas are set the dethrone the Kuros. We are in 2011 and the best LCD still can't compete with an average CRT when it comes to color accuracy and contrast.

I thought the same until I bought my first plasma, and then realized how awful lcd is in comparsion.I use a LCD monitor and everything looks great, I have no problem with dark levels.

[QUOTE="reachrocksman"][QUOTE="Rahnyc4"]Did I ever say there weren't colorful? I said they perform poorly in dark scenes, which is why the only top rated tvs are only plasma.dont know what your talking about, but my lcd is bright in the dark as well. maybe its the lcd monitors you just once own, but its not the same with other folks. infact my screen is better viewed with the lights out :) Your not getting what im saying. Take a Blu ray movie for example. On an LCD in a dark room, you can clearly see letterbox bars, because the tv can not get black, because of the backlight. On a plasma, you can't see any bars, its blends in the the bezel.dont know what this guy talking about, but my lcd is perfectly colorful and vibrant.

[QUOTE="reachrocksman"]Yes, LCD does look good in bright scenes, but they have poor black levels, which greatly reduces contrast. This is also a reason it hard to see in pitch dark levels in games, such as Resident Evil. Plasma and CRT have contrast that murders lcd. I play Crysis maxed, and refuse to use an lcd monitor, that gives me motion blur and poor black levels. CRT is out though, no high resolution offerings, I own a Panasonic VT25 plasma. It is rated the best looking plasma ever, other than a Pioneer Kuro. The blacks are very inky, and thus offers much more contrast than lcd. Until OLED comes out, I will stick to plasma, and reccomend that you do too.PlaguelessAnd LED displays destroy plasma. Yeah, right. You dont know what your talking about. http://reviews.cnet.com/best-hdtvs/ Notice the only tvs listed are plasmas? Yeah, try again.

There is no difference. Go to any tv ranking site, and all the top tvs are only plasma. You just buy into the shiny Samsung advertising.
Having 20% of tvs being 3d in 2 years is a crazy fast adoption rate. By 2013 is will be for the masses. The Next Xbox, Wii, Ps4 will drive this probably even quicker.Still too expensive to be adopted by the masses at this point. Many are still catching up with HD, and won't be likely to just turn around and buy another TV.

Given his ego, I wouldn't be surprised.
I hope he is in the game....so I can pull out my chainsaw on him.
