[QUOTE="redfordo"]

As I stated it's not true. The Wii has alot more game releases than the other consoles in general, it should have many more reviews than them in 2009 as a result of it, but Gamespot misses the highest percentage of Wii reviews as well.

Shielder7

Because shovelware doesn't need reviewed and crossed system games for the Xbox 360 and Ps3 really only need to be review once. Also 8 year olds & soccer moms i.e. "the casual gamer" don't usually read Game review sites, they get there game reviews from Susan ( the block watch captain) and her son Jimmy so why bother?

Jimmy says Mario's a fun game BTW

Anno, Rune Factory and PES 09 are all AA rated titles and are absolutely not shovelware by any terms of the definition. These are the games I am complaining about in terms of Gamespots missed reviews.

The only Wii review on here I have any gripes with is MadWorld, but I totally understand where the reviewer is coming from, I just don't share his opinion. And regardless of if people feel their reviews are biased, GameSpot has the best gaming forum online, and the Wii component of that forum is no exception. Yes, some reviews are late, and that could (should) be better, but it's a small complaint. What reviews in particular are people so pissed about?holdfasthope
You forgot to mention that alot of reviews are missing altogether, and for me personally, there's many gamespot reviews I take issue with. Usually due to them being poorly written and chalked full of incosistencies. Take a look a few posts for an example.

Sounds like some people here just need to find a new forum. ;>DKII
Sounds like some of us prefer not to run away from what we perceive to be a problem but rather tackle it head on.

Gamespots Virtua Tennis 2009 review is up for those interested: 6.0

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Virtua Tennis 2009 Review

Virtua Tennis is too easy and inconsistent to entertain you for long.

The Good

  • Fun minigames.

The Bad

  • World Tour mode is way too easy
  • Steep learning curve
  • Online play is mired in lag.

it'd be nice if we could somehow boycott gamespot or something so they'd stop treating it so badly...

Dycras

It's difficult to organize something like that and have people who are willing to go along with it. I think the best thing to do is be heard and complain in the link I have in the OP. Gamespot cannot continue to ignore a thread where their readership continues toshow they are unhappy.

Gamespot has always given Nintendo less priority, since the N64 days. But the Wii is on a whole different level. The no mii support for Fire Emblem. This game is too hard. This one too easy. This one doesnt use the wii controller. This one uses it too much. And reviewing UP instead of many other games. If only IGN had better forums...TropicalGuy
Things have reached a point where I feel compelled to make a complaint. I think it will continue to get worse if we don't do something about it.

[QUOTE="-CheeseEater-"] Quite right!Hungry_Jello

As I said,

That's really not my problem. If Gamespot doesn't have the diginity to properly staff their site rather than demote themselves to a second tier review source as a result of it, the honus is on them to fix it.

Stop complaining. Its not going to get you anywhere. If you dont like the way things go around here then leave. Noones stopping you. There are other gaming forums that might share your blurred opinion.

Better yet, Stop telling me what to do. I have the right to complain if I want to and I'm going to whether you like it or not.

[QUOTE="hiphops_savior"]Maybe because Gamespot is awfully short on Editors to review enough games on time?-CheeseEater-
