King Kong was pretty easy. Beat the game and get all 1000 points.

I appreciate the thought of not having to want all the consoles, but the competition is what makes the games great and affordable. I mean Sony started off their high-end PS3 at 500 bucks and Microsoft at $450. At those prices, the companies were not making a profit to begin with and I don't think they are today either (this is for another discussion). Let's say that they did go in on a console together for the next-gen...their is no limit on what the cost of the console will be because there would be no one else to compare and compete with (hardcore audiences). Nintendo would just bring-out another customer-minded console with an affordable price that would shatter a Microsoft-Sony coercion. I have a 360 for the single-player and online games and a Wii because it is the best inhouse multiplayer system. If I have to shell out 700 bucks for the "best" hardcore console of the next generation instead of the $450, like I did for my Elite, I probably would have just kept my Wii and that is it.

I agree with deadbeat. RE is as good as it is because Capcom knows not to change something that doesn't need to be fixed. However, if you have played other RE's before RE4, you would know that the camera angles changed from fixed to angled 3rd person view. RE games aren't good, they're great, and anyone who says otherwise has never played an RE game

You've played Half Life too long when you are scared to step on the sand.

The Orange Box by a long shot. With Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress alone, The Orange Box is better. Then you add Ep. One and Two, and Portal to the mix and the collection becomes a behemoth amount of fun. Team Fortress 2 is one of the best XBOX Live experiences to date. And Portal is the funniest game I have ever played in my life.

Since we are talking 360 games...I would recommend

RPG - Eternal Sonata / Mass Effect

Shooter - Call of Duty 4 / Orange Box

Action/Adventure - Assassin's Creed

Want the most innovative and breath-taking experience EVER - Ace Combat 6 with Ace Edge (absolutely amazing)

Those should keep you busy for a good while.
