@ghosts4ever: with the Witcher 3 released and seeing as console version sold better than PC version I can see the future where cdpr too will shift to console market and just release PC ports in the future. But I can be wrong. For now I trust cdpr to not screw with their original market base, the PC to favour the console market.

And to think these were the guys who gave us far cry 1 and crysis 1.*sigh* They're gone now. Nothing can be done about it now. They tried to copy COD when instead they should have followed what made them successful in the first place.
I get 60fps to 100fps at ultra settings( except for some features like Nvidia harworks or MSAA I keep them off) on my 1060 on almost every games at 1080p. I'm pretty sure Rx 480 will get you similar and maybe even better results in some title.
And I've seen 4k benchmark of both 1060 and 480 to know that even at 4k these card provide 30fps or close at ultra.
@jumpaction: I don't think it's on nintendo switch. I can't find switch on the mentioned platform in their official website. Maybe in future?
The open beta ran at 80 to 90fps on ultra on my 1060. I say it's very much optimized.
@blackace: So you turn this into personal preference.Fine by me. If you can't get into PC gaming then sure ps+xbox is the way to go. But the fact still stands if you want the best of everything then PC+ps is the right option.
P.S. Seeing as you don't play games on PC you won't get why 90fps or 120fps makes a difference even on shit ports. And what you said that you won't miss any PC games well that apply to most of the people who prefer PC they also won't be missing any console exclusives then so they shouldn't get console even .
@whatdaf: I have a GTX 1060 6gb and I tried Witcher 3 with enb mod I got 45 to 50 fps on ultra settings with enb mod.i think it was e3 graphics mod).
And believe me you shouldn't play games with mod for the first time unless the mod you use is just to fix bugs then it's no problem.
Complete your playthrough and then experiment with mods.
Also try metro 2033 redux and last light.
@sirk1264: Everybody's gone to rapture.
@blackace: But then you won't have PC exclusive. Again this is not about which platform you prefer but which platform gives the best amount of games. And also don't look in the past if you look in the past, you can't even play most of the exclusive of previous gen. Talk about future, in future xbox won't have any exclusive games(maybe vr exclusives but who knows) and the best combo will be pc+ps4.
I know people will have preferences like they can't get into PC gaming but that's their problem...the point still stands if you want maximum amount of games in the fututre PC+ps is the way to go. And if you don't mind missing out on exclusives well then still you get most out of PC as PC will have games like Nier(not on xbox) and uwp games(not on ps) along with its own huge library of exclusives and multi plats.
P.S. you say Games on PC run shit well that's true. But here's the thing even these games which run shit on PC still perform much better than console.Take arkham knight for example I'm getting 80 to 90fps on my gtx 1060 and guess what arkham knight is one of the shittiest port a PC can have.
Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo all of them just care about making money and exclusives help them in this money making process. They not only sell games but also sell the specific hardware to run those games. They are just doing business that's all. Why sell only software and get less profilt when you could also sell hardware and get much larger profit.
