Dubai has one of the biggest foreign aid budgets in the middle east. With that said, why wouldn't they be making these attractions if they are profiting from them?

To be honest the pictures of the various mosques, pretty thought they may be, are a bit to similar to be of much interest to me after the first handful. I was much more interested in your friend's comments at the beginning of the thread and I would much rather see some slice of life pictures of everyday life there. Pictures of shops, people bustling around going about their lives, favorite watering holes and gathering spots, people playing sports and/or participating in local events --- these are all things I'd much rather see.

Did your friend take any pictures of that?

I just added like another 100 photos, take a look. One of my non-Muslim friends took a backpack trip around the Middle East... if you want to see photos of that, I could start another thread in a couple days. That photo narrative she sent me was simply unbelievable.
