Pass. I loved the first Leisure Suit Larry games, but I'm gonna stick to donate my cash to new ideas, like The Banner Saga, the Double Fine project and Wasteland 2.

Hehe, if there is a way to milk more money out of a product, be sure that EA is gonna find it! Clever. I wonder how much cash they are gonna make selling this cheat.

I always have a negative outlook when it comes to these remakes. I mean, make something new dammit! BUT, i am curious, and i suppose the youngins might enjoy this, or not. It's kinda scary to think what it would take to remake PT or BG into modern video games standard. It reminds me of the southpark episode where Lucas and co is threatening to remake Raiders.

And on the positive side, Monkey Island remakes worked out fine.

Recent years i'v really struggled with the Total War addiction. Notably Medieval 2. I absolutetly love that game! And i'm just getting the feel of Shogun 2.

Might & Magic 6 was a game i spent every waking hour playing. I know every nook and cranny of that game. I still have a game going which i play a few times every week or so, just flying around, soaking up the nostalgia and listening to the awesome soundtrack whilst carpet bombing enemies with my Starburst spell (or as the Germans call it: "Sternenfeuer", which sounds pretty cool) :)

The best place to pre-order Legend of Grimrock if you prefer it on Steam is here:

http://www.grimrock.net/store/

One hundred percent of the money will go directly to the devs and you will be sent a code to activate the game on Steam.

If you don't like Steam, then Gog.com is a good alternative, as the OP says.

Hexagon_777

If the game has a Steam key then surely not 100% of the money goes to the developers, right? Valve is getting something out of it!

I bet Steam gets a piece of the pie. I doubt they get to use their platform for free, only fair imo.

Do you know if they are planning to release physical copies of this game? It would look pretty good in a big box with a fat manual, maps and stuff.

Ishar of course. Hate is such a strong word! My main favorite is the second in the series. Can't beat Eye of the beholder though.

M&M 6 is by far the game i have played the most during my many years as a pc gamer. I think i have played through it 10 or 15 times, crazy i know. But man i love that game! What i wouldnt do to play another M&M game by jon van caneghem. (Disregard the IXth in the series.) Kickstarter anyone? :)

Lithos_

I agree, sorry. I didn't like them. I understand that when someone says something like that about a game you simply loved, it hurts your feelings. :)

Kickstarter you say is Wasteland 2? Here in our local forums we have separate "official" threads for each game (so everything about each one is discussed in its own thread) and also official "preview threads".

Guess who opened the "Wasteland 2 preview" thread... ;)

So I am responsible for updating the info and such.

.

Edit: typo.

.

EdiT 2: Wasteland: another unforgettable gem, "father of Fallout"...

Good work sir! I kinda get the feel that "old school" pc gaming is roaring back again these days. Good times indeed.

Since Ishtar, Eye of The Beholder, M&M 6 are among my favourite games, this game is one of my big looking forward to right now, along with Risen 2. Hardly any interesting RPGs at this time, (Never got ME3) so this makes me a happy pc gamer. Pre ordered. I'm definitely printing out the map and going all out on map making, really a nice way to get immersed.

You mean Ishar; I hated -- all 3 of them. M&M 6 was wonderful. By far the very best of the series.
