This looks really fun. I have to admit i shook my head when i read the topic. Shame on me for doubting!
robertlie's forum posts
Anyone played it? I would like to know if this one is at all any similar to Freelancer.
I have many recommendations. But from the top of my head:
Gemini Rue
Resonance
The blackwell series
Book of unwritten tales
That is if you like point n click adventure games.
Also you should check out:
The Temple of Elemental Evil (with the Circle Of Eight Mod) I'm having so much fun with this one. Damn hard, but rewarding
Freelancer (with the Shattered Worlds mod. Vanilla is also fine.)
Dead Space 1&2
The Witcher 1&2
Is episode 2 out in the US? Nothing here yet(europe). I thought the episode was scheduled for today
I remember it very well. Played that game everyday for hours. A lovely game, one of the most awesome multiplayer experiences i'v had so far.
A sequel would be great. But somehow i doubt it would ever surface.
[QUOTE="Sentinel112"]If you like playing obvious console ports, then play Witcher 2.Elann2008The Witcher 2 came out on PC first, and then ported to the Xbox 360 with a few touches here and there. The Witcher 2 isn't a port. I think you're misunderstanding what a console port is, and a PC multi-plat version of a game. The Witcher 2 in particular was built from the ground up for the PC as a timed exclusive.
Don't mind that troll.
On topic: You choose well OP. The witcher 2 is an amazing game. Be sure to give us your thoughts on it.
Start with Medieval II. Also get the expansion. Best game ever
Without a doubt Baldurs Gate
[QUOTE="Garod_T"]I guess one other thing to say is, if you compare it to modern games, there are no fetch quests, no filler content. But you are right, I guess the best thing about Torment was the interaction between the companions. p.s. I'm still waiting on a reply Sentinel? Would be a shame to make such a comment and then not follow up yourself with an explanation after "demanding" a reason from me.FelipeInsideHe's too gifted to respond.
Did that guy actually wrote "i'm highly gifted"? Brilliant, just brilliant! You sir, amuse me. Funny that you prefer Mein Kampf to Planescape Torment, but i digress...i love PST as it is, so i'd rather see a BG overhaul.
edit:BTW I'm reading the Warhammer 40k: Horus Heresy series now, you should check it out. Maybe not as kewl as "a treatise on electricity and magnetism", but still pretty bad ass, and enlightening.
Hum, i'm trying to make up my mind as to what game i'm gonna play next. Either Game of Thrones or Alpha Protocol. I'm not really picky on graphics, and can tolerate some quirky gameplay as long as the quests, story and characters are interesting. Any opinions on what to get first?
