that's not really true. it uses multiple by default. that setting is for troubleshooting. a lot of people are confused by that setting. google it.Also if your using Vista/Windows 7 then while your in MSCONFIG then under Boot -> advanced options you can tell windows to use more than one cpu core while booting up...as it only uses 1 core by default.

[QUOTE="Daytona_178"] Yeah, its funny how people call Vista a heap of **** and then called Windows 7 the best thing since sliced bread when they are basically the same thing. Now i understand Vista was unstable when it was first released but thats all fixed now days.Sparticus247
I actually consider Microsoft extremely greedy and somewhat dishonest for selling Windows 7 as a full-price "new" OS. They could easily have released all the minor changes as an update for Vista with a small price tag.
it's all about the marketing my friends. Visat 64 bit was bad when it first came out, but not because the OS was garbage, but there was no real support. By service pack 1, and for sure pack 2, it became a solid OS.....only problem was that it got that bad rep and it stayed. MS had to do something to get back in the game, so they re-released Visata with some Optimizations and vwala! Success! Goog job marketing department
i totally agree
