I think it is Gears itself. I've heard this multiple times from people. I think it is a glitch within Gears. It's not the disk so don't get rid of it. Try another game and if it still doesn't work, then you may have a connection problem.
I don't have an HDTV, so spending $700 on something that is useless to me would be a waste of my money. I also liked the large selection of games, that I liked for the 360, compared to just a couple for the Playstaion 3. Mainly, price was the ultimate factor. And I figured, unless I stand outside for hours on end on the release date, I wouldn't be able to find one for at least a year. I also thought that the games that I saw for the Wii were to kiddish for my liking. I was not going to spend the money on the Wii just to play Zelda. Another factor was Halo 3.
Because there are people out there that want to have rooms dedicated to the Vision cam so they can trick themselves into thinking they bought a worthwhile peripheral.Large_Soda
Try making sure that all connections are made properly, if it still won't work, try making sure there are no bends in the cord. If you still have a problem call the number to try and fix it. You would have to get the number from someone else other than me.
