It’s delaying subscriptions and accessory sales, and it‘s keeping money out of the hands of game developers. No xbox/ps: no xbox live, no psn, no controllers, no games.
It is going to eventually work itself out. The consoles produced will eventually outpace the rabid demand and scalpers will lose out. That will be next year sometime. In the meantime, we’re at the mercy of bots and companies that refuse to do anything about it.
Is anyone Else worried about Microsoft’s quality control? I went through three 360s (the rare red checkered screen of death) and until I get up the nerve to replace the thermal paste, my third Xbox One is sitting useless on my shelf. I’ll likely buy the new Xbox before I get to that, but I’m not in any rush to get one.
Has Microsoft made improvements to their hardware and manufacturing process?
The game suspension feature (instant-on) on the Xbox One has never worked for me. After a couple days it freezes up and needs a hard reboot. Now I’m looking into how I can clean up the thermal paste because it overheats in 20 minutes.
I don’t have a whole lot of faith in MS anymore, especially now that they’ve thrown in the towel in the console war with Sony. If I repair my Xbox One and use my pc for games, why do I need the XSeX?
It’s a chronological list of every game that’s been given at least a score of 8 in 2017. Are these all Game of the Year? No. However, if you’re looking for a new game to play, it couldn’t hurt to check this list to see if you missed anything.
@altairdarius: They actually put a story in the game, which was my biggest complaint about the first Destiny. Having a character named "The Speaker" and have him wax poetic about not telling us the history of the world really pissed me off. Leveling is easier. Enemies scale with you, so you're never feel out matched, but they never feel too easy. Gear level/power is a lot easier to understand.
I only screwed around in the first game. It didn't interest me enough for me to stick with it. I'm only three days into this game, but it's a lot of fun so far and I can see myself sticking with it.
@tevic: I've seen a lot of these kinds of posts lately. If you've really been coming here for 5 years, then this media blitz shouldn't be a surprise. They do this for every major release. Leave if you want to, but I can't imagine that any other site will be different in a meaningful way.
Pushing for a digital market is going to be a lot more difficult if gamers can't take their digital libraries with them moving into future generations. I personally have a large number of digital games on both the One and PS4, and I'd hate to see them go to waste. It's certainly going to be a factor in my decision to buy a PS5.
