Thats the name of my new PC. "Dell Dimension XPS 600".

I recently bought it and its not only cool looking but also a great gaming machine. Its rarely makes any noise, in fact, I dont hear anything to be honest and runs smoothly. Its got the HP and now its hungry for games and killer aps :P

I overclocked my card a bit at **811 / 433 Mhz** and my 3D mark score shot up from 1830 to 2361 ! :D

Yeah, its still now a good score but I plan to go SLi pretty soon. My friend's sellin his 6800 at a "friend's price" ;) so I might buy it. thats all for the update for now..

Some of you hardcore pc gamers might pick the odd one out : geforce 6800 ? Let me tell you, it runs Prey, Doom 3 and Quake 4 on high settings, 1024 x 768 rez and ALL options enabled. Thats all I'm looking for. Besides, DX10 cards are not far away and this card can handle almost any game out there today on HIGH settings.

What else do I need? Suggest a game that can run well on this card if you guys can. I'm thinking of Oblivion and F.E.A.R. but if you have any more in mind, please let me know.

I really dont know why there is no activity in my union. I tried my best to keep it active but it seems the officers are the only ones posting. I tried to make the union more attractive, we have news, videos and perhaps good topics then why the hell there is no activity? I'm getting quite fed up now. If this continues, I'll have to do the worst soon....and quite frankly I'm tired of leading this union. It just dosent get active enough. Blame goes to gamespot. With everyone trying to create their own union at level 6, no one seems to be interested in any of the unions these days. Even the most active unions are lacking activity.

I didnt create this union just so that I could. I was waaay above level 6 anyway. I created this unions for the fans of the FPS genre to come together and talk. Discuss. Enjoy. Share their problems and help each other out. This is not happening and I'm almost about to give up. I've managed to bring back the union once from the brink of extinction (with the help of fishface) but this time, I dont even feel like. I've just lost my interest. Our level isnt increasing a bit when we should have been level 4 above, we havent been able to get rid of the MIA emblem for weeks and all this thanks to GLITCHSPOT. I've just lost my interest in the union now.

So, with due respect to my members and my trusted officers, I would like to say that I'm sorry for not being up to the mark. I'll be doing the worst soon enough. I'm just letting you guys know in advance. Sorry guys and many thanks to my officers for all your help. You guys are the best officers I've ever had. I'll never ever make the mistake of creating a union ever again.

After chasing me around (see previous parts), Dante finally catces up and its SHOWTIME! This is the first half of the battle. He was not a hard boss since I was prepared this time with the right kind of party. Show's over Dante!

Those who love RPGs should read this....

I've got my hands on a copy of Shin Megami Tensei : NOCTURNE, one of the best RPGs I've ever come across on the ps2....or anywhere probably. I've been playing this for almost 20 hours straight and I still dont want to stop. I've taken a few minutes to log on gamespot and write this blog post about this awesome game.

I'd like to explain a few things about it and how it is different from other RPGs such as our very own final fantasy.

NOCTURNE is a very dark themed M rated RPG. Yes, an M rated. These are very hard to find. As Greg K wrote in the review (8.5) of this game, the all-so-comon situation of us (the main character) trying to save the world, blah blah, is completely gone. Instead, you have a situation : The world IS destroyed. Now what do you do ? You begin the game in tokyo and eventually witness the destruction of tokyo with your own eyes (from a rooftop with a nice view I might add lol). Now, tokyo is completely destroyed (alongwith the entire world) and your adventure begins. The game's ending will differ on your choice. You can either fight to revive back the world lost or you can create a completly new world. There are more choices, which I dont know yet.

Intresting plot you say? It certainly is. Now a little about the battle system and the party. Though the game has a turn based combat, the party is FULLY CUSTUMIZABLE. Except from the hero, the other members are the ememies you come across while adventuring. Yes, you can recruit members, evolve them, or even...."fuse" two demons together to create another, usually more powerful demon. Sounds great? Thats why I love this game. There are lots and lots of combos and skills the demons can aquire via fusion. Also, the same demon born from fusing two demons might have diffrent skills than the same type of demon born from fusing yet another combination of demons. The list is endless....I think. Moreover, the battles are not just plain, bland and repetitive. A nice feature of the game, the enemies sometimes engage in a conversation with you during battle, asking for various things or to exchange information with something in return. You never know when this happens and thus, you gotta be alert always.

On top of all this, they even put Dante in the game, who plays his ever popular demon hunting role. Of course, you should know...the main character is also a demon and you can expect a nice showdown when they meet in the game.

I cant wait to finish the game and replay the new game+ mode. There are around 5 different endings based on your RPG choices, so theres definately a lot of replaybility here.

I stand on a road with two forks ahead. Let me try to explain it as easiliy as I can. My PC has become crappy. I dont have a graphi card installed yet and other spces are :
P4, 3.2 Ghz
512 Mb ram
64 bit on board video memory.

Now, I'd like to buy a good gaming PC since now I have the money and more importantly, the spare time to play games ( :D )
This is where I arrive at the fork in the road. If I buy a good PC with a good graphic card, etc, will it be worth it NOW?
Consider this : Vista is soon to be launced and my processor is NOT a pentium-D processor. That means I will have to change the processor to run vista....right?
I could always reuse the graphic card I buy now but then again....IS IT FREAKIN WORTH IT?!?!
This question has been eating my head for quite some days now. What should I do? If any of you guys can help me, I'd appreciate it.

Rare indeed. A friend of mine gifted me his old SNES and lots and lots of his games too. He had his snes for a long time in his closet I suppose but it was almost in excellent condition  I wonder where he kept it :shock:
Anyways, I spent $5 on its repairs, wire problems and the thing works fine :) This is probably gonna keep me busy for around 3 months, judging from the number of games he gave me. Yup, I like to play old games. Ever wondered what it feels like to play a very old game compared to the current gen console games? I know.....

I have already begun my  course in the university for the Bachelor of Computer science. A major component of the course requires me to learn the c++ language and Java, later on.
Fine. I took the course without any objection and now after half an year, I sudenly realised something very important. I am learning c++ without actually knowing what are its applications, where is it used, what can I do once I learn this language. I have some idea at least but that is not enough, its close to nothing :(
Same goes for Java too. I dont have in-depth knowledge of its applications or uses. How can I put the knowledge to any use if I dont know what I can do with it?
With that all said and despite this problem, I still dont want to back out from this path I have chosen. I have begum my journey without any preperations, without any destination and its too late to turn back now. If any of  you know c++ or Java, please do help me out.

I posted a topic in the off-topic discussion board about the movie "The Matrix Revolutions". I did not quite understand the movie's end so I thought I might ask here on gamespot. I did. I got replies. I understood. I forgot about the topic. Then after three days I get this pm saying I got moderated for that topic the reason being "SPOILERS WITHOUT WARNING" :?

Now I know we are not supposed to give away spoilers for a game in a topic unless we give a spoiler warning in the topic title. But movies !? Thats a different case altogether ! I have NEVER EVER been moderated before and you cant imagine how I feel now...

Hmph....spoilers :evil:
