#@timemasheen: Perhaps getting into a different genre or trying to perfect a genre like fighting for example can bring that magic back? My 1st Smash Bros was on Wii U and even as an adult it made me feel like a kid again. Bayonetta 2 and MKX (esp online) also had me hooked this gen.
Overall though I think that just comes with age. I just gave my nephew my old 3DS XL and he is loving Mario 3D land. He says the game will never end and loves opening it back up to play a new level each time. This is his 1st single player game and to see his reactions are priceless.
@CallMeDuraSouka: I have the same problem...once I am caught up with my current backlog I am going to buy 1 or 2 games at a time. That includes Steam sales as well. I rather have less games and more enjoyment out of them. Right now playing catch up is feeling like a chore.
I know this isn't a fix for the GPU prices but one thing I'd like to see come of this is better optimization. Game devs can take a look at what the most popular hardware is currently and make sure their games take full advantage of it. Just a thought.
P.S. How long do you guys think an RX 480 can last me at 1080p 60fps? Seeing as I might be stuck with this GPU for awhile =|
@lostn: Not sure how true your statement is. My niece and nephew love their toys. Sure they like the tablet & their 3ds but they mostly play with their toys. I just think retail in general is in trouble since many people shop online.
I'm disappointed to see SJW garbage infecting the gaming industry. I remember it being brought to my attention when MKX articles were popping up about the costumes the women will wear. Back to the topic on hand. I don't think women should feel obligated/pressured into industries that they have no interest in. I'm also tired of the bullshit statistics saying women make up almost half of all gamers. Sure I've met women gamers before but a lot of them play just a few games each gen if that. Gaming is mainly a male space and it seems society hates that for some reason.
@thelostscribe: I understand the logic but I still think a brand new game made for current generation hardware would be a much better way to go about it. You're right though Burnout 3 & Revenge were the most fun I had with the series. I am actually playing Revenge now on my 360.
I am getting tired of all these remastered games. I have a decent backlog so I guess this doesn't affect me at the moment but it'd be nice to see new entries to these franchises instead.
@slacker20012: My guess is backwards compatibility is not factored in on a list like this. So only games for that console and the console itself (I'm assuming) are considered. Just my take on it.
