@thedefect: You make solid points! I can't really argue them... I agree...I guess as a business move they must march on with the NX as a home console. Here's hoping they market it right and like we mentioned...sell it for cheap/at a loss.
@thedefect: I thought they merged their console and handheld departments into one? I figured they can focus their attention on Mobile, Movies, Merchandise, handhelds, toys, TV shows etc. They are plenty of ways Nintendo can make money.
I highly doubt the PS4 and Xbox 1 even with their upgraded versions coming out later this year (supposedly) will last another decade.
Like I said if Nintendo must make a home console it should cost no more than $199. That is a reasonable price considering the NX will just be a secondary console for gamers that like Nintendo games.
@e3man01: My guess is they go handheld only first then if that fails then 3rd party. Especially if they end up making a lot of money off movies, merchandise and their other ventures.
Nintendo should just make the NX a powerful handheld that can be connected to the TV. If it is just another Nintendo machine it should cost no more than $199. Gamers are not going to pay more than that for just a console that plays Nintendo games. I am far from a Nintendo hater... I love my Wii U... but it is overpriced and lacks games for the hardcore gamer
I don't believe they should go third party but maybe just sit this console generation out and wait to see what ps5 and the next xbox does.
@lostn: Brother in law purchased Modern Warfare 3 last year used for under 5 bucks... same with COD4... this is a waste of time... they should have remastered all 3 titles for current gen hardware.
@Delston: It's a shame really...I opted to get Pokken Tournament instead of this.. a game I didn't think I would buy over a game I thought I would get day 1... Maybe Capcom needs to release a complete edition for SFV next year with all the content included on the disc
@chris91090: Exactly! I just started watching Tournament players on youtube for this game and other fighting games and sure that scene Is great but it is the minority... to bring out a big game and cater to such a small group makes no sense business wise
The hardcore fans would have supported this game no matter when it was released
