You can do it on the PS3 if that is the PS3 you made the account on otherwise you will have to e-mail for it.

I'm pretty sure all of North America is up isn't it.

Just so you know the Update server is seperate from the PSN servers, the update servers have been live throughout the outage.

So everyone can download the update, even me in Australia. Check the blog for when your region is back online.

Ok, so it seems to only grind during gameplay, browsing the menus is fine. So would it be only the drive reading heavily?

What can possibly happen if it continues? Do you know?

Whenever I put a game in about 30sec-1 minute later it has started to make a grinding/scratching sound.
