EA really dropped the ball with this racism stuff.
everybody knows that greendales human beings' maskot (from community) is the only non racist maskot there is and thats the only one that should be allowed in any kind of media.
the author says he sees the book as latin and also, finds it offensive. simple human deduction and common contextualization will suggest he means that having a book that has latin dialect and talks about romance in a humorous way is somehow offensive. meaning, the author saw a funny book and the first thing he could think about is its race.
@intheend9999: whats wrong with saying u didnt like the game on an article about a free version of the game? if i havent played the game i would have liked to see the whole spectrum of opinions in order to decide if its for me or not.
where they fire people for having the "wrong" opinion, one day theyll fire books for having the "wrong" opinion. or is it the other way around?
i think people are too afraid of comparisons to nazism as if the nazis were a different species, and we should never compare modern situations to what happened then, because no modern person, group, country, or politician can ever be showing symptoms of fascist or undemocratic behaviour. and then they say we should learn history so it wouldnt repeat..
@jsprunk:well its a good thing that rules are dictated by the majority of cases and not singular cases, and it doesnt change the fact that a company shouldnt condition sales on its platform on whats being sold on other platforms. doing so results in prices being determined by uncompetitive measures like steam's market power instead of actual quality of service or cheap prices. again, such clauses cause prices to be determined by the power of the ruling company instead of supply and demand.
as much as i usually hate siding with the "consumer mob" that believes theyre entitled to low prices and all laws should support the consumer because companies are evil, i have to say they got a point here (even though im sure most of them dont really understand why).
The problem with steam's MFN clause is that its clearly anti competition clause that uses steam's power as gaming outlet superpower to force companies to sell their product ONLY in their price.
think of it this way: if steam was the only gaming outlet, and now an unknown company X wants to compete, steam could just say that whoever sell on X platform cant sell on steams platform, and just eliminate them before they even sold a single game.
the rule is that u cant condition sells on your store with anything related to other stores. other than that i ofcourse have no problem with game prices rising or falling as long as it follows the simple concept of supply and demand.
The only john wayne movie i watched is "True grit", in which john is a merciless sheriff who mostly shoots first and kills outlaws without trial. so Georges statement isnt even a legitimate defensive claim..
