Thanks guys. I thought the scratching of the discs was a much larger problem - seen so many people complain about it on here.. Was just making sure which way to lie the console. Lying it down does make more sense now that iamgreen said about the falling over (that thought never entered my head lol.)

I heard there is a three year warrenty on the 360 as standard, if thats true then I will probably end up buying one, considering they are really cheap now :D.

The Elite should have the most up to date hardware in it, right? If so shelling out the extra £££ will probably seem worth it.

So many questions I have, sorry :P. Just like to know what I am getting myself into before making a purchase.

Hey guys, been really interested in getting an xbox 360 now that the price has dropped to £159 and just have a few questions.

With the new falcon chip, is there very little chance of getting RROD? And what are my chances of going into the store and managing to get one - are there still a lot of older chips still out there or have Microsoft removed them from the market?

And one more. Is scratching disks a major problem - does it happen when the console is on its side or standing up?

I know they have to continue from 2, but they can make it so that time passed while they were back in the other world (disney) and when the intro opens up they're older fighting heartless. It would be like they were fighting a battle up until part 3 and when it starts they're like 18.

I guess we would just have to wait and see. Although I dont know how much longer I can wait! lol

When I say I want a darker story, I mean I want it a tad more mature (...no, not in that way), but I still want it to retain the child-friendly aspect, just like any disney/pixar cartoon would. I guess when I say darker, think of Ratatouille, it's not as silly, but still charming, funny and fun for adults as well as children. Anyway, I guess "darker" isn't a good word to explain that.

I think Im beginning to understand what you mean. When I first played Kingdom Hearts I thought, "What is this bollocks! Im not a child anymore!", but grew to like it for what it was, FUN.

The demo was very limited, not a very good representation of the game in my opinion.

You obviosly get a larger map with loads of new areas to explore, more challenging races/crashes etc, more cars and the online experience : D.

Good game I think, just doesnt compare to Burnout 3: Takedown (Best game ever : D).

I know it's awesome to blindly go where many of us former 360 users have gone before,
but, fact is, it took over 1 1/2 years to accurately compile the data on the original xboxs, and before M$ would act,
the fact that they are working on a new "Jasper" chip to try to fix the problem, means the problem isn't fixed.
When your system dies, you'll be saying the same thing I am about mine. It's a freakin annoying thing to lose the hardware you worked hard to purchase for a month, while M$ farts around and finally sends you a refurb that is worse off than the one you sent.

Ive never laughed so hard at someone ranting about a RRoD problem hehe. All your posts were worth a read :D

On Topic: I would recomend getting a gaming PC and a PS3. Some 360 exclusives and all sony exclusives.... Only if you can afford it though.
