Nintendo wanted a compact, extremely efficient (ie low power) console that also has 1:1 Wii Mode. It wasn't solely the Gamepad that held back it's potential graphical prowess.

We also haven't seen any dev take it seriously yet for exclusives. Porting existing content over to more powerful hardware doesn't automatically make it look better.

Except Wii U is huge and terribly power inefficient given its low-spec in today's market. Just try comparing to cell phones which are far more powerful than the Wii U. Just face it and admit that Wii U is a terribly engineered product in all aspects. Pretty pathetic that they can't even make a simple OS right. Even the physical components are made from cheap materials. Unbelievable Nintendo has the nerve to charge 350 for such awfully designed and built product.

Dreamcasted except Nintendo doesn't even have its own Visual Concepts to develop superior NFL games.

As if pissing off all third party developers and Nintendo's core fanbase weren't enough, Nintendo seems to be on track to piss off retailers as well; it's apparent that Nintendo is deliberately producing less physical copies of games to meet demand in order to force remaining interested consumers to purchase through their lousy e-shop system. Nintendo gets a far higher profit margin from games purchased through their e-shop than having distributors, retailers, and second-hand sales getting a cut. In addition, since all digital games are tied to a single system and account, all the purchased games will be lost forever if the sytem is ever lost, damaged, or sold. Nintendo is using retailers as nothing more than a cheap marketing shop now, and it's only time before retailers catch on and abandon marketing and selling Nintendo games.

more proof Star Wars 1313 gameplay footage was a total BS; why else cancel it, and no other companies willing to pick it up on its behalf?

more lies. Nintendo deliberately under-shipped just like all their other titles (firm emblem, luigi's mansion, etc) so consumers will purchase them through the e-store. Nintendo's greed and selfishness has burned bridges to developers and publishers, now it looks like it'll burn bridges to retailers as well.

Would be great if they got Kurt Russel to voice him.. After all Kojima's character was based off of Russel's character, Snake Plisskin.. sSubZerOo
What do you mean based off? It's 100% rip off: Exact look, voice, theme, story plot (MGS1 anyway), etc.

Not surprised. David Hayter has been portraying Snake as a parody character in the last couple of games. Apparently he did not realize that Kojima believes his inane garbage story to be actual dead-on serious work.

I heard Wii U sold 80k for March.... pretty horribleCWEBB04z
Nope it's 64k. Nintendo needs to stop being arrogant and kill the system already. Consumers just don't want this overpriced cheap garbage, and publishers and developers both hate it. The Wii brand is dead thanks to Nintendo's shameless arrogance.

You know a system is dead when both Publishers and Developers hate it.

Cool they made Garrett a super ninja now (with goth makeup to look extra deadly). Hopefully it will be like Ninja Gaiden 3 where he pulls off many deadly killing moves and dodging explosions through QTE.
