@jendl: "The argument of frame rates is always stupid, i.e. why play it on 60fps if its available on 120+fps? It is all the about the experience and enjoyment nothing else."
This doesn't make any sense. Frame-rate IS gameplay. It's interaction and control response. Resolution and/or image quality are not gameplay. Frame-rate is directly related to the gameplay experience. And while 30fps can pass quite well when it's a solid, properly frame-paced 30fps, especially in certain genres, any physically fit individual can recognize the more fluid responsiveness that 60fps brings to gameplay. Period. That biological fact shouldn't anger anyone. It's how our bodies respond to interactivity when receiving visual data and returning a response.
Modern pro sports games are best at 60fps, hence why it's a design choice for all major titles. Nobody debates this.
You're simply saying, "I'm willing to settle for a significantly less responsive game in order to play it on a handheld."
Sometimes the portable novelty just isn't worth the trade-off, sorry.
Games like this belong on a larger screen running at 60fps, with your ass planted in a comfy chair looking forward - possibly next to a friend playing too.
30fps NBA, FIFA, etc. is a non-starter, and it's fundamentally about gameplay response.
"It sounds like NBA 2K18 for Switch will have everything players might want in terms of modes and features, though it seems as if the graphics are not as good on Nintendo's console."
Funny to think there was a time when everybody was saying, "I'm so sick of the WW2 setting in CoD games!" and now we've come full circle. Everything old is new again at some point.
"NBA 2K18 officially launches on September 19..." and whose entire subject is that game, one way or another, on a game website -- it's perfectly reasonable to talk about what it's going to look like. C'mon.
It's not like I'm commenting about Destiny 2 in a NBA 2K18 article!
