@doodoflife: I only played these games for the first time 4-5 years ago and pretty much agree. My expectations were tempered though as I went into the first one simply for the story, so that helped me deal with the frustrating mechanics and made it worth it. And like someone else said, this is really an RPG first, FPS second. That the gameplay and mechanics improved throughout the trilogy was just a bonus, at least for me.
@ninboxstation: I probably would've given ME:A an 8 if they hadn't cancelled the story DLC. Sure, it's being put into a book. But it'd be nice to at least finish the story and not leave us with a small cliffhanger.
The Silver Lining for me is: This was the last game on my list of games I was looking forward to. And barely have enough cash, so it looks like I get to save $60 after all.
@gr4h4m833zy: I agree, for using the most advance Unreal Engine, Tekken looked like it was at least two years old on launch (I realize the game was already out in arcades oversees a year prior).
@Bread_or_Decide: Agreed. I invested so much into the first Destiny and have owned Destiny 2 since launch and am only halfway through the main story.... I just feel overwhelmed to go through everything again to get to the endgame content. Nonetheless, I bought Forsaken and upgraded a player to level 30 and now feel really overwhelmed. haha.
Based on the sounds of it. We now will have a solid foundation for games for both DC and Marvel. Hopefully we'll start to get great games for more characters other than Batman and Spider-Man.
@drod0756: It's probably just this console generation though too. Xbox 360 seemed to have better exclusives than PS3, and this generation it seems to be the PS4. Maybe next generation the pendulum will swing back to Microsoft. Though it'd be nice and you'd think the competition would make it so both main consoles had several solid exclusives. I think I'm done buy both main consoles next gen.
