@m4a5: Me too. And it has a solid director at the helm so there's no excuse. The less behind-the-scenes news is encouraging.

I hope taking the time with this film leaves us with something memorable. I don't want these classic characters' first on screen live-action debut to suck.

Wow. This is how developers should support a game. It's (almost) 3 years old and they still take the time to improve it with the latest technology.

@gleencross: yeah I agree. And with RPG's I don't aim for trophies and it just got to a point where I was driven to platinum the game and be done. I've tried getting into these episodes and just can't. Reminds me of too much of a grind and the beauty of RPG's with good characters and stories are that they don't feel like grinds but rather you want to revisit the game's world as often as possible.

@gleencross: I don't know the sales figures, but it does feel as if Square Enix is pushing this game as if it's a game that has been one of the most successful in it's history, when the story and characters were largely forgettable. The game wanted to be a giant open world game but I was to explore and complete the world in about 2 weeks time and that's only play a few hours a day. They keep pushing out new content as episodes where I feel like I need to replay the main story just to remember it and understand how this extra content fits in. Also, sales numbers don't always equate excitement for the game or characters. I just think they're going to keep pushing out content as if this is an MMORPG, when it has a weak foundation and they should be sketching a new better story for the next game.

@travispickle: Based on the beta I've played and reading other review sites, I was expecting at least a 9 or maybe even a rare 10 from Gamespot. I haven't enjoyed a game like this since The Witcher 3, which they gave a 10.

@superklyph: yeah. The costumes and stages don't add stats to your gameplay. It's cosmetic. Characters are just DLC.

@nyran125tk: I didn't like BvS in theaters either. But thought the Ultimate Cut was much better: good, but not great. WB should've allowed for them to release the Ultimate Cut as the Theatrical Cut. I think it would've had a better receptions from audiences and critics alike.

People need to realize that most comic book villains come down to wanting power over everything and/or to destroy everything. This goes from Hela, Thanos (which is just a shortened version of the greek word for death Thanotos), to Steppenwolf, Atrocitis, and even Steppenwolf's more powerful nephew Darkseid. I think Steppenwolf was just used as a path to get to Darkseid later anyways.

Also if there's cheap looking CGI it's likely because WB is uncertain of how much money they'll get back and wanted to keep the price of making the film lower for an already expensive film. (Also, look what happened with Blade Runner 2049: Great visuals but it cost them over $150 million to make and only brought in around $85 million domestically.
