Is Gamestop you guys only option?

I recomend Best Buy. I have had nothing but good experiences at Best Buy with games. If you go Release day, they are usually never out of stock.

The place to avoid is Circuit City, they have the worst Game department in the Business. Only when CC sells a game for $10 cheaper should you ever shop there.

Funny you should mention that because I left the mall and drove across to Best Buy just in time to see them close the metal gate for closing, I thought they were open until 10 every day but it is just Friday and Saturday. Went upstairs to Target but they had no copies to be found, probaly in a box in the back room and have yet to be put out for sale.

I have only played the Shadowrun demo, but since I am an old man (34) I actually played the PNP and SNES and Sega Genesis games and thus know that that Counter Strike wannabe is a serious waste of intellectual property. The Darkness looks to at least have some intriguing story elements and decent gameplay. Shadowrun is like a overpriced Counter Strike mod IMO.

Yeah, I was not super annoyed that I couldn't get the game as I was that I wasted my time. I am sure the game would be cool but I have not been waiting for months for this game to come out, otherwise I would have "pre-ordered" it. It looks lik it might be worth picking up though.

I don't know about you guys but it annoys the piss out of me when I feel I have wasted my time for no good reason. So Gamestop/EB Games and I have a history which starts with $17 worth of trade in credit disappearing and no manager assistance, thus I am out $17 worth of traded in game credit.... Long story. Anyhow, I made the mistake of thinking that a modern company like Gamestop would have a real time inventory tracking software package that can update the website. I check the website for in store availability for The Darknessand it says my local store has plenty like 5+ copies in stock. Cool, now if it said it had like 1 or 2 copies I would have called ahead but I am thinking they got plenty no worries. So I drive 15 minutes to the mall where the EB store is. I look at the wall and no luck, so i think maybe they have it in the new release case behind the counter. Well no luck there either. The guy behind the counter I talk to informs me that they have a bunch of copies but they are for pre-orders, OK great this isn't Halo 3 for God's sake. Your website says you have a bunch of copies available, I drive to your store to find out they are already reserved, say what? I know my buddy behind the counter is basically a minimum wage earner who works at this store for the discount more than anything so I don't fire him up too much but damn it annoys me when I waste my time like this. Maybe it is just me but if the small retail establishment I work for can afford software that keeps up to the minute inventory on our website why can't a huge nation wide chain spend a bit of coin and get a system that omits products that are unavailable because they have been reserved.

Can't do something for the fans other than make great music?LilYungsta

Been waiting since the Black album for them to actually make some good music. The fame and fortune have changed them for the worse. They used to just be in the biz for fun and the fans, they are just a younger Aerosmith now, a product that needs to be protected. Glad to see at least one of them (Jason Newsted)had the sense to quit with some dignity when he realized they sucked..

Worst game I bought: Chromehounds, never really could get myself to play that game. Single player sucked although I heard the online play was good I just never wanted to play it.

Worst game I rented: Dead Rising, that game was so retarded. Bad save system, corny and unimaginative story, lame gameplay and graphics.

Well I have a 56" Samsung DLP and 1080i looks alot worse than 720p, my tv is 1080p but doesnt support it through component and I dont want the VGA cause the image gets that washed out look. But yeah, setting it to your tv's native resolution will help, but in the end progressive images will look better to most people. OneLessFinger
I have the same TV and I prefer it in 1080i. Consider the fact that any 2005 and earlier Samsung DLP 1080p will not accept a true 1080p signal but its native resolution is in fact 1080p. It upconverts all signals to its native resolution so if you give it 720p it is still upconverting to 1080p so you really should see a better picture by giving it the full resolution and having the TV just project both images together to prodece the 1080p, much less converting and thus a better picture. I have tried both settings and the 1080i setting produces a way better picture IMO with no artifacts or blurring what so ever. Also for the geniuses who consider CRT to be the end all be all of HDTV, try expanding that 32" TV to a 56" or 60" screen and see if you still think it prodeuces the best image, sorry but it is apples and oranges.
