@Xristophoros: Does optimization make a difference? YES!
Can a console with "half the power" achieve similar results thanks to that optimization? No. Sorry, but that is just a no. it only took a year to notice sharpness differenes for 360 games and PC. And for xbox one the difference was there from the beginning.
Consoles are great- primarily played on console til I was 20. But if you have the money/want to spend the money on a PC it is totaly worth it (unless you want PS exclusives). and if you get a good chassi and power supply the first time you can keep them for your next 2 or 3 upgrade cycles.
@7tizz: Well, it seems like there is a lot of rhyme and reason to it. Bf 1 beta - who cares when it's just a beta? BF Hardline - more people care how it goes. And it's a game that helped out a lot by teamwork. Titanfall - Pretty much a single player game where the NPCs just happen to be controlled by real people, if you get see what I mean. Everyone just run around solo anyway. Forza - Everyone is playing for themself. Who cares about what some 16 year old has to say?
@petelero: The "filmic" comment is rust retarded, but I think it doesn't really NEED to be 60 fps for most RPGs. But the 30 fps in itself doesn't have any pros over 60 fps - only cons. When trying to hit 30 fps they can use higher resolution textures or turn up other graphical features, but the "feel" of 30 fps is NEVER better than 60. The higher the better, there is no debate! Sure, at 120 vs 144 it's basically impossible to tell the difference, but 30 vs 120 or 60 vs 120? Higher is better/feels better. Smoother.
@kazeswen: Sure but that really had nothing to do with Cruise. That is just how the character is. He is even "worse" in the books. I just had such a hard time seeing Mr. Good-looking-smiley-face in that role.
@kazeswen: I felt that Reacher movie was stale somehow. Completely got what they were going for, but it felt so obvious or something. Maybe because the no morals character is one we pretty much NEVER see Cruise play it just felt wrong. He's always the guy who smiles/smirks/make my penis wiggle.
@igorphoenix: Running SLI will make every game behave unpredictable (not EVERY but you get what I mean). Not really the normal way people play anyway. Support for SLI has slipped since so few people use it.
@FallenOneX: It is pretty simple. First you choose a processor. Then you look for an ok motherboard that supports that processor. You DON'T need a 150 dollar motherboard! Around 100 dollar wil ldo fine for MB. Check out Linus tech tips on youtube for build guides.
If you have to choose between 8 gb of ram and a good graphics card OR 16 gb or ram and an okay graphics card - pick the better card. Adding a second ram stick a month or two later is much easier and better than having to sell your "old" card and buy a new one.
