I'm talking about the cover mechanic. The over-the-shoulder camera existed before RE4 if we're going to nitpick now......
I'm pretty certain you could find an over-the-shoulder camera in a game prior to Resident Evil 4, which was fairly recent.
who cares? every developer look at other games and take the good thing and make then, according to themself, better!
