People really have no idea what's coming with MGSV.

This is not your typical MGS game and it's certainly not the bed wetter that is MGS4.

CoD is not my cup of tea, I got burned out many iterations ago. Though I do understand that millions of gamers love it and hey, Activision is printing money with this franchise, both sides are happy. I take no issue with that.

Here is what I find incredibly stupid.

This gen has been a cluster **** of cross-gen titles and "remasters" that hardly even qualify as that. These remasters are akin to taking a PC game at medium settings and changing some of the settings to high. Boom, full price, bend over guys.

The fact that console gamers even tolerate the shit is troubling, but to bend over and ask for it? And of all the games you could possibly ask for, you're choosing the most milked annual franchise of all time? You want to pay good money so some developers can waste their time porting over some fairly recent games with a minor face lift? You want to pay for the same shit again even though they release a similar game every year?

THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE PETITIONING FOR???

No wonder the AAA arm of the industry is in such a funk, people like you sending out the worst possible signals to these pubs.

Over 20 years later and I still enjoy a slew of 1st year SNES games.

Almost 15 years later and I still enjoy some 1st year PS2 games.

Over a year into the PS4 and I have yet to find a game I truly enjoy, Bloodborne will likely be the first.

So no?

AAAA, this is my reason for owning a PS4.

I must agree, I can't stand seeing these remakes squandered on handhelds. A full blown console remake of MM would have been amazing.

For 1st party I'd say Nintendo by a landslide.

3rd parties included? Probably Sony. We aren't seeing it just yet this gen, but history has shown some great 3rd party exclusives on Sony consoles.

Damn. I knew their 1st party wasn't the best, but seeing their work listed out only makes them seem mediocre.

Naughty Dog is their top dog. At the very least their games are decent and on a good day they put out some great stuff. Team Ico was awesome for 2 games, but has been dormant for a decade. Gran Turismo was a stellar series, but slipped hard last gen. They could be back on top with GT7, we'll see.

Everything else there ranges from average to piss poor. LBP doesn't hang with any real platformers. Killzone series is about as average as you get with FPS. God of War is a sub par hack n slash series.

Bloodborne looks amazing, but is that really considered 1st party?

I've never played a MLB game, maybe they're good, I wouldn't know. Anyways, looking at the list, I think it's safe to say they're vastly overrated.
