It's going to continue to be a niche product until someone develops a wireless, light, affordable standalone headset, with at least the abilities of a high end PC and the power of an RTX 4090 behind it. We're just not there yet. For me, an enthusiast, I'm totally happy. Being able to play games like the classic 90's FPS's from the past has been a blast and a dream come true! That along with the likes of Saints and Sinners, Ghosts of Tabor, and Contractors ExfilZone are the types of gaming experiences I've been waiting for since the first time I've ever even heard of virtual reality. I'm not the target audience though, and they'll need to hook the mainstream, casual gamer.
@jinzo9988: I agree, the all female cast was not the problem for most fans, it was the execution. My kids loved the movie, but they're young kids. It was fine, just not great. I expected more from that really great cast they had. Bad script, among other things. Certain people assumed people hated it just because of the all female cast, which wasn't true for the most part, it just wasn't that good.
Was hoping for a last minute PSVR 2 tease somewhere at the end, but oh well. Was pretty sure it wasn't gonna happen, just hoping. That console design is REALLY exotic. Reminds me of the tall, long-necked aliens in the Star Wars prequels that created the clone troopers.
Wonder if Superman crushes his controller/mouse/keyboard when he gets frustrated.
Never thought Cavill was such a hardcore gamer. I cannot play those strategy war-sim games, too boring and complicated game play. I watch the hell out of them though when my friends play them. They're fun to watch when the person at the controls knows what their doing.
@rickjamesia: I knew the role-playing game existed. Never was a fan of those "pen and papers" at all though.
"They take deep, well crafted settings that most of the world has never heard of and inject them into the mainstream." This is what every developer TRIES to do. CDPR though has a reputation of doing it with lots of care. I am excited about this game not because it's Cyberpunk, but because CDPR is developing it. Can you imagine if they ever got a hold of the Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars properties?
It takes a really good game to keep my interest and finish. I haven't finished a game in a really long time until Metro Exodus. Good atmosphere, decent story, GREAT gameplay. 9 out of 10 from me.
