@PixelAddict I'll tell you this, this whole thing is certainly going to keep me from buying either of the next gen consoles for a VERY long time, if at all.
@angelobmmx994 @scatterbrain007 Look I understand we don't have all of the answers right now...which is the problem. The consumer (smarter ones) need to have all of the information before making a purchase. Microsoft is giving us tidbits which is fine when you're teasing a new IP or something. It's NOT fine to give vague, basically useless or HALF information when they are trying to explain how used games will be handled.
@angelobmmx994 @scatterbrain007 This is assuming EVERY game in the XBOX One library is readily available online. For some reason I don't think they're going to have Every single one of them on there. At some point they'll have to be taken off. Then what? Game is gone, lost forever? I like physical copies myself...guess I''m screwed there too.
This whole stupid thing is too confusing. I usually buy new anyway, but sometimes scratch that...MOST of the time I don't get to play the games when they are out new. I have a life, gaming is something I do enjoy thoroughly, but it's not something I can do for hours on end like when I was younger. I can't beat a game in a weekend, it takes me months. With popular games it's usually not a problem the stores will probably have a Far Cry 3 or a Halo still on the shelves new. However the obscure games that can only really be bought at a Gamestop or specialty store like that will only have a used copy of IL-2 Sturmovich or an Apache Air Assault game. To me it sounds like I'm going to be missing out on some good stuff without these used games being available because of this stupid freakin' "system" they have for it now. Or even worse, these obscure, niche games I like might not be able to exist in this industry anymore. I hope I'm wrong, I really do. Right now though this whole thing sounds like a fucking pain in the ass.
Dead Island melee was spectacular, but the forced gunplay was boring and attrocious. I stopped playing once I aquired a shotgun and it took me 4 direct hits in the face to kill someone with it...bull crap. Keeping an eye on this game though, looks great. I'm also excited to see you are still able to kick!
@Alkpaz Possibility. Whether or not I buy a next gen console is going to rely on how they handle the used games. I usually buy new, but I don't always have the time to get the new games when they are new so they get put on the back burner when I'm ready. Who knows, maybe this strategy will work. It's just a rumor at this point we don't have the confirmed information yet. IF it works how it sounds in this article however? It's not gonna be good. Sounds like used games are going to cost more then when they are new...which is down right retarded. Again we don't have any CONFIRMED info on this yet.
