Halo 3 will be fun, but I am sick of getting the same games over and over gussied up with "Amazing new gameplay" which amounts to a new gun, or enhanced graphics which amounts to higher res textures.
I just watched the new trailer for crysis at crysis-online.com, and like.. wow.
My vote is for crysis. You have to admire a developer that makes a game that is so technically awesome that less than 50% of the PC gaming crowd can play the game, and they completely ignore older console tech. Guess I need to save some cash this fall for a new video card.
Yeah! I played Halo on the xbox, but I didn't love the game until I played it on the PC.
Turning up the resolution makes it much sharper and the game still looks good, even after all these years. Also, the mouse + keyboard allows you to crank up the difficulty.
I don't know about online play though. My guess would be that not many people are online. Seriously though, for multiplayer pick up battlefield.
Honestly, no. However, if you want to overclock and you want to make no compromises for another $50, then get the 680i. It's what I use on my gaming PC at home and it works great. Native support under vista.
p.s. It comes with onboard 7.1 audio. I couldn't find that anywhere on the box when I bought it, but it does in fact come with. You do need to install drivers manually for the audio to function.
I installed vista x64 the other day. Works great for C&C 3, but slideshow performance on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. .
All my drivers appear to working fine, and I would not discourage someone from installing 64 bit vista over 32 bit.
The only 64 bit problem I have noticed is that some older TV tuner cards of mine didn't have supported drivers in x64 and were supported by the x86 version of Vista.
I installed Vista 64 bit, and STALKER ran horribly. I am talking slideshow bad, until I turned off HDR lighting. THen I ran Stalker on XP (I have a dual boot setup) and it ran flawlessly at 1080p with maxed out effects.
