@customx5: I agree. For me personally I don't like switching controls (keyboard mouse to controller or vice-versa). I prefer to stick to one for good and get really good at it. For me gaming is about how well you play and enjoy a game and controls are a big part of achieving that. Like when I gamed on consoles I would never dream of using a keyboard and mouse, eventhough I knew that games on pc could be played like that but when I switched to pc I switched to keyboard and mouse because of the inconsistency of native controller support in pc games.
@customx5: In the past I bought a ps1 just to play metal gear solid and final fantasy 7. A ps2 just to play metal gear solid 2. A ps3 just to play metal gear guns of the patriots. I never got a ps4 because by the time it came out I had sold my ps3 long ago and learned how to build a custom pc for gaming. Since then I have not owned a console. For me an exclusive is no longer enough to justify buying a whole console. I now have a cheaper way to have fun: my pc. I don't hate consoles. I just don't have enough of an incentive to buy one. Despite great exclusives. The closest I came to buying a console was when pc games kept stutterring no matter how much hardware I threw at it. I was starting to blame it on bad ports until I found out that I needed more vram to play the games at the texture settings I wanted and that it's always better to use matching ram sticks. However, there are genuinely bad ports on pc like arkham knight, far cry 4 and watch dogs 1 that stutter despite running them on the exact recommended hardware listed by the developers themselves. However, in a few years time when hardware is upgraded those games should run fine. The only thing I miss about consoles is the peace of mind I had when I inserted the game, started it and it worked and all I had in mind was what I was trying to achieve in-game. With pc you are pulled away from the game whenever you see a stutter or a frame drop. You start thinking about what you or the developer did wrong for the game to mess up like that instead of paying attention to what's going on in-game.
I had serious doubts when this was first announced. But it looks so cool. The gameplay looks like a more complex version of the detective modes in the batman games. After seeing this video I have to say I'm really excited for this game. Too bad it's being released on ps4 and not pc. Great vid!
@asneakypoptart: No, man! The thumbnail had a giant cat desert robot with glowing eyes coming out of the sand and the protagonist about to fight it! If that's actually in the game then that part of the game is spoiled for me. I was looking forward to the futuristic timeline and all that stuff from this AC game. Now it's spoiled thanks to their stupid thumbnail I saw while scrolling down the main gamespot page. I always avoid clicking on articles I think will spoil things for me but this thumbnail was right there on the main page.
You gotta love the spoiling thumbnail on this article. I haven’t played the game yet and saw that thumbnail while scrolling through articles on the main page. Thanks for spoiling that part of the game for me gamespot!
@Mogan: lol maybe but you know what I mean. There will be a serious atmosphere of distrust at work and in society. I’m not defending people who have done wrong to others. I’m saying that before presuming someon is guilty and taking drastic actions that ruin careers they should at least let a court decide and prove that the person is definitely guilty. Although in some if not most cases these things can be difficult to prove because of how and when they happened.
How come Depp gets a pass and Spacey doesn’t? All these women accusing is seriously starting to look like a middle age witch hunt. We will see even lower marriage rates than ever before and possibly a decline in births given that everyone will be so scared of offending someone else. No one will want to show romantic interests in anyone else because that could be taken against them and they would have their lives ruined. This whole thing is seriously becoming too extreme. They should judge the person and show evidence in a court and once proven guilty then think of firing the person. Not just fire everyone based on allegations. There are courts for a reason.
To be honest I found the show boring and too repetitive with the PTSD excuse some characters seemed to use to go around killing people and each other. You would think that the government with all their experts and clever people would have figured out that to avoid mass killings all they had to do was focus on treating their own soldiers with PTSD.
@haydnfan999: I agree with everything you said and I knew all that too. I just thought it would have been too long to explain and instead chose a generic statement assuming that console players who do not have long enough experience with pc gaming would not understand all those things or care to understand. I just wanted to convey the idea that on PC you can play at much higher resolutions than what is given on consoles.
@BoSSMaCC: I ended up switching to a controller for this game. I would have preferred to keep using the keyboard and mouse. Luckily I don’t play multiplayer. Never liked multiplayer in general in any game. I find the single player campaign by far surpasses Battlefield 1’s.
