Peyton: What happened to us?
That should be the tagline for the show from now. It basically asks what every One Tree Hill fan has been asking since the 6th season ended. I don't really have anything else to say because I am tired of putting this once great show down. So you can comment with your thoughts.
This blog is longer than my past two. I just haven't had time to sit down and actually write a well-thought out blog. SPOILER ALERT: The blog contains spoilers to Melrose Place
So, I've heard about the Melrose Place pilot and apparently a dead man is found in the pool. And he is killed by one of the regular cast members I hear. People speculate that it's Ashlee Simpson's character Violet, but I don't think she can pull off a psycho. Also, one of the old regulars is back who supposedly died in the original. Science-ficion show or drama? Make up your mind. But this isn't a spinoff, it's a continuation, so is it set in the 90s or here in 2009 with the sane people? But wouldn't that throw off the timelines of 90210 since Ryan Eggold is playing in both shows as the same character? Sounds confusing. I guess we'll just have to sit back and watch.
Not hearing much Georgina news. In the GG season finale she applied at Yale and asked to room with Blair. So, I'm guessing that when the new season picks up she will be back to mess with Blair but what could she possibly do?
Rachel is back! I still can't get over that! :) But I wonder what it'll be like when her and Brooke reunite. Especially since she stole a wad of cash from her after a run-in with Victoria. Speaking of Victoria, ever since Mommy Dearest filled the cavity in her chest with a heart, what will Brooke have to say to her when Rachel tells her why she stole the cash. Things can get interesting. Leyton's gone along with baby Sawyer, but new characters are here: Quinn, Alexis and some other dude (shows how much I care). Quinn is supposed to be Haley's sister and if she's anything like Taylor was maybe she could become a new favorite.
Ethan's gone, the Silver/Dixon/Ethan triangle probably won't be resolved like we would all have liked to have seen it, but at least it'll be over. Annie did hit somebody but who. What she should really be doing instead of taking joy rides after being splashed in the face with alcohol, is taking a depth perception c.lass. Who wouldn't swerve at the site of a person. Or maybe it was a midget. Jenn, Naomi's sister has something up her sleeve, too. I wonder what will happen when the cops raid her place.
The things that keep me up at night. Also, I've made a few observations on why OTH has been so bad in the "Worst Episode Ever" thread. I think you'll like it.
Rachel (Danneel Harris) will be back in an arc for OTH's seventh season! I am so excited! At least there is one thing to look forward to next season. I am honestly only going to continue to watch because of Sophia and for Danneel's arc. Everything else I could care less about. Also, OTH is swapping places with GG. They're switching times which seems kinda pointless to me.
Both shows return 9/14.
90210 is also back on 9/8. I wonder what Annie hit on her joyride. People say it's a person but the logic of her not seeing someone and not swerving seems ridiculous to me. But I don't know.
Melrose Place also premieres that night and I can tell the show might be a hit. Even though I don't want to watch it, I feel drawn into it. Let's all pray Ashlee Simpson's acting isn't as bad as her singing.
Chelsea Lately has been picked up unti 2012!
So, I have a new favorite show. It's "Friday Night Lights"! This show is truly an underdog. It's been nearly canceled, like twice and now it's only recieving half-seasons! Anyway, at first, I never liked the show, because I never liked the movie, but the show is so much different from the movie. The acting is incredible and the writing. It's so great. Like, after the first episodes you'll be hooked., it's that addicting! I went out and bought the first two seasons on DVD and apparently the third season just came out like last Tuesday. So I have to go out and buy that sometime this weekend.
One Tree Hill's finale was awful. Gossip Girl's finale was kinda like a series finale, but better. Georgina may be back next season! Yes! 90210's finale was kinda luke-warm. I hated that Ethan finally told Silver he liked her and I hated how Naomi just freaked out on Annie like she did. But Annie got her payback, and she also ran over something. Couldn't tell from the speck they showed.
And, I thought I'd share this with you...
Okay, so this whole OTH thing is really starting to get to me! I wish The CW would just end this damn show now! There is no point of keeping it around; CMM and HB are leaving. That leaves us with Sophia Bush, James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Galeotti, and the minor characters. As much as I love SB, how long can they give her the same storylines dealing with Sam, Julian and Victoria?! Nathan's basketball future is over apparently and Haley hasn't had a decent storyline since her pregnancy storyline (which was two seasons ago!). This show is on life-support as is. Pull the plug. This will all be over!
Gossip Girl has been so freakin' good, lately! I cannot wait for the finale! Apparently, there will be one major GG bomb left! I wonder what it is. But on the description it says GG sends out devestating e-mails during the commencement. So, I'm just like wondering what they can be. Georgina is also back for the finale. I wonder how she handled the Poppy/Gabriel situation. Valley Girls was also good. I hope it gets picked up for a series. I would actually watch it. I enjoyed watching Brittany Snow/Krystin Ritter.
Oh, and 90210 was on. It was eh.
New Font! Um, The Best Years info thread is up on the boards. It's full with everything one would want to know about the series. It's only one week away (starting Friday); I'm way too excited for the return of this show. I am disappointed about the 4 cast members who aren't returning. Sam has like a love-triangle going on, if you couldn't tell from the numerous ads The-N has been running in the past week.
So, recently, and when I say "recently", I mean about three weeks ago, I bought Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (the movie) and I loved it. Then, I was in the school library and I found the book! I checked it out; I just don't know if I want to read it. I've skimmed it and it's told from the perspectives of Nick and Norah, of course. But, everything is like switched. Nick seems to be Norah and Norah seems to be Nick, if that makes sense. Oh well, whatever, nevermind.
OTH and GG are back on tonight! Finally, after the CW's weird 6 week break. Stupid Sweeps just had to be pushed back to March. These episodes better be good, worth the wait. But, I doubt they'll be anything like the earlier days.
I'm off to watch some episodes of Tales From The Crypt. Get scared; the usual!
BTW, Jenna, TRUE BLOOD WAS AMAZING! The past episode was funny when Jason drank too much of the Vampire blood. Question: Does Sookie sleep with that weird Vampire she met in the bar with Bill? I need to know! The Complete first season is on DVD, too! BTW, I recommend going to Chelsealately.com; the hardest I have laughed
I have a new favorite: True Blood! It is the best vampire show since Buffy. I mean, the fact that it's an HBO show made me uneasy at first, but I heard everyone say that it's so good, so I tuned in for the re-air of the first season and I was in awe. I mean, once you get passed all of the nudity, you'll love it. I just hate the way each episode ends. It's always something that makes me want to scream because I have to wait a week for it. Anyway, if you have HBO I suggest watching it. They're barely going to be on 4th episode this Saturday; there's only 12 episodes. It's good, there's just a lot of nudity.
One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl return Monday. I'm more excited for GG, though. OTH can drink cyanide for all I care.
I'm re-watching The OC. I'm currently on 3.24 "Man of the Year". Right before 3.25 where Marissa dies and everone is sent into emotional laryngitis.
Oh, and The Best Years returns this April! Yay! After like being off the air for over a year.
So I really want to see "Fired Up". At first, I wanted to see it because AnnaLynne McCord, (Who plays Naomi on 90210. Who also plays my second favorite character, next to Silver) then I find out Danneel Harris (Rachel on OTH) is also in it, then I was like, "Now I really want to see it!. Then, I saw a 10 minute preview on Myspace and it was so hilarious. Like, the sister Poppy was like, "What do you need? Another ride to the clinic?" I was like, "Whoa!" And then there's a scene where they're on the bus and chanting this annoying rhyme. It's just great! I really want to see it now. Skelet-ore!
And I also want to see Friday the 13th. That looks extremely scary! I get creeped out everytime I see the previews. I have to like move away from the door and anything with an opening. It sounds strange, but it's true.
90210 was okay today. Um, does anyone know when OTH and Gossip Girl return? The CW's scheduling is really making me mad. Like, it went on a two week break and now it's off for like a month! But Degrassi returns this Friday, so...
So, I was reading this book on SMG (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and it mentioned a show she was once on called Swan's Crossing. And then I looked it up only to find out it was a teen soap opera. And then I found some videos of the episodes on Youtube. Let me tell you, it was like watching a re-run of some cheesy 60's show. The dialouge was way too clean for a soap; even if it was for teenagers. I was like, "whoa". But, I prefer SMG as Kendall on AMC (All My Children) she was a psycho looney. Well, here's an episode (the first) of SC.
