I don't think anyone here thinks the G.O.A.T. is set in stone. There's "discussion" in the forum name for a reason, to discuss and debate opinions about issues like that. There's no definitive answer, but that doesn't mean each individual can't think someone is the greatest and discuss their thoughts on it.Orlando_Magic

nah i agree with you. certain people dont understand that though, im not too sure about this board cos i only jsut joined, but i know many other boards where people try to prove your opinion 'wrong'.

I know this is a forum and people make 'who is the better rapper' or who is the 'goat' threads just to get conversation happening, but seriously there is no goat and there is no (insert rappers name) is better than (insert rappers name). its all opinion. thats why i get a bit annoyed when i see people stating their likes and opinions as facts, thinking that this music **** is set in stone. its not. music is an art form and if you understand art youd know its subjective. its not maths where there can only be one answer. in the same vein, there is no 'real hip hop'. ive never seen a very good answer to that one. people just like to throw out underground MCs and old school artists and say they are real hip hop just cos a lot of people dont know them or they arent on the radio. its like an elitist thing, people think they are better than others cos they listen to a group of MCs that are in the minority and then put the 'real hip hop' stamp on it.

just had to put that out there, a lot of people look at things too dogmatically. its time to wake up.
