I'm pretty sure Polyphony don't really care about Forza, considering both titles are exclusive, and it really doesn't make a difference to either company if the other one sells more. It is simply why I can't understand why Turn 10 have such a strong fascination with badmouthing PD at every turn, while PD just stick to developing their game. I'd understand if they were competing, but, are they? In my opinion, no.jonnyt61I think PD really do care about F3! "Perhaps the most surprising to me was when a couple developers from Gran Turismo makers Polyphony Digital came by to personally get hands-on with Forza 3, all the while taking careful notes, examining our UI system, shooting photos, and directly asking us some pretty interesting questions. The reason I say I was personally surprised was because PD aren't generally known as a studio to acknowledge that there are racing games that exist beyond their own." NUFF SAID..
well thank you, just when i thought this was going to be a dull morning.. someone has managed to make me laugh!!! :) besides.. if PD was trying to "distance it's self from certain stigmas" as you put it with GT5.. then why did they drop in & pay Turn 10 (makers of F3) a visit for a little personal hands on with F3? "Perhaps the most surprising to me was when a couple developers from Gran Turismo makers Polyphony Digital came by to personally get hands-on with Forza 3, all the while taking careful notes, examining our UI system, shooting photos, and directly asking us some pretty interesting questions. Street racing in the US mainly consists of drag races conducted on some back roads. From what I think your getting at is further customization in GT such as body and aero kits. If you want to argue that NASCAR is less "GT" that custom body kits, then your wrong because only Polyphony digital decides that. GT is about the purity of racing culture and NASCAR is a legitimate racing culture whether you like it or not. There are other games that fill this niche such as Midnight Club or Forza, GT sticks to the emersive expriance between the car and track. Forza is more of te middle man and perhaps a game you would enjoy more because it includes an emersive paint tool and GT style tuning. GT is a game that tries to distance itself from certain stigmas and street racer is one of them.

GT5 Graphics, Gameplay are much better from what little we have seen/heard.jasopanlol you've seen nothing but CG trailers in regards to GT5!!!
In graphics Forza 3 has better environments but GT5 has better car models... but in gameplay Forza 3 isn't even close. (GT5 has more cars, tracks, more cars on tracks at once, day and night, weather, nascar)chapnzabahave we seen any actual gameplay from PD yet in regards to GT5??? i dont think so.. so, how can you assume that the car models & gameplay are going to trounce that of F3??? F3's car models & enviroments are OUTSTANDING to say the least! the car models are on par or better than GT5 P!
