Waiting for the so said processors is irrelevant if you ask me, I mean how can you tell if their will or wont be a 6 core possessors by next month or so

Following up what is available now is the right way to go

And you could have up to a year or two before you upgrade from double core to higher processors by the time they become essential rather then optional as they are now (Most applications works fine still on normal possessors with out having to upgrade to double core so double core will be sufficient at the time being)

It also depends on how you actually use your pc

If you are a gamers such as myself for example you should be more concerned with the latest graphic and GPU technologies which affects more then the possessor, and even here with the new DirectX 10 Cards released such as NVIDIA 8800 the question remains should I or shouldn't I

My way is simple and it's up to you to consider it or not

It goes like this "Don't go and buy what is new right away, give it some time, it'll go cheaper afterwards and if any conflicted or problem is monitored you'll get to know"

Don't know any free players but you can use the torrent to get one

AVS Video Convertor is a good choise as it supports a lot of options into many extensions

DivX Converter 6.2 is also good and it comes with the DivX pack on thier website but you still need a Reg. Key to unlock the convertor and you could find it on the torrent as well
