Ok so i decided that "teh journal of Darkness" isnt as good as I originally thought that sounded. So I decided to change my journals name to "Thoughts of an endless mind". Yea I know you guys might not have even noticed the original name but I think this one suits the type of content I put in here. Instead of filling it with spam entries like "teh level up!" or "5000 posts!!!" I put more deeper and developed thoughts into my jurnal mostly about my views and opinions on the way I see the world or to a lesser extent ...GS :P Yea so its now "Thoughts of an endless mind if anyone cared to notice. :)

Over the time I have spent at GS i have learnt many things about the way this site is run. i have also seen and obserrved things that i thought need to be discussed ( not like it matters if i write it here anyway)

As we all know, there is this little thing called the "leader board". i myself dont really care about rankings but I hate it how everyone looks up to those people. Dont get me wrong, some off them are great people and they are my friends but people seem to treat them speacial. Ok.....for example. When people read reader reviews, they normally just trust anyone they know. No matter how sucky the review is they want to help their friend out by giving them another trust. When users see people like Kingfrizzy etc write a review, they ignore everyone else's and read his. Dont get me wrong. kingfrizzy is a great guy and all but common, the guy has like 500 trusted users. :? Im not saying that there anything wrong with that but you gotta think its becuase he's the leader of the leader board and also a mod. Also, people practically beg thier friends just to trust them (i may have been guilty once :P) because they want these fancy new reviewer badges. Write good reviews and people will notice you. i myself only have 20 truts but atleast the people accually liked them :roll:

Another thing is that when people see mods they bow down like slaves and act all strange and suck up to them. :? when i see a mod i could care less. i jugde a mod and thier work (reviews etc) as i do everyone elses not because they are 'special" forumites. And another thing. People ALWAYS send friend requests to people they think are "popular" because they want to have a "cool" friends list. :roll: one of my mod friends told me himself that he would seldom get a friend request until all of asudden when he became a mod and got loads because of his position. Come on now, is it so great to have mod "friends' that you send then loads of friend requests for the sake of getting and emblem or claiming you know lots of mods? They are just forumites that perform extra deeds around the forums not gods.

So all in all i think my main point is that people judge forumites by thier rankings. mods are treated as gods etc. And lets be honest, when reading reviews most people look at the featured reviewers list because they generally think those are better. Although i have 2 featured reviews, i think it is unfair to other forumites who get overlooked because of thier social standard. Well anyway. i just thought id get this off my chest even if it doesnt make any difference because i cant do anything about it.

This is the first time i leveled up since december 20th. :| wtf? o well. woopti do i guess. I...so...happy...*note this is sarcasm*

I just noticed i had that badge.Its for being one of GS's top 1000 reviewers. Apperantly theres also a top 500, 100, and probably a top 1 also. It seems to come from many members either trusting your reviews or giving you thumbs up. (probably the latter because i only have four trusted people.) Anyway i think its rare because i have only seen two people other than myself on GS with either one of this type of badge. There is obviously 1000 of them but who cares. :P

When i first joined GS back in august 04, GS was like a tsunami to my life, ANY spare second i had i would spend it on GS. i dont know why . It was consuming my soul. It was an addiction to which i had no cure.

But now....its like.....meh. The threads arent that intresting to me and i dont post NEARLY as much anymore. In the past month i dont think ive made 50 posts. i was able to do that in one day back when i first started. I suppose a large factor is school. It is really beginning to take up my time and i rarely find time except for weekends to do anything. But even then i dont post much. i lurk a little but it really doesnt feel the same.

To tell the truth i dont even know why im writing this. the onbly people who visit my jurnal are Sammy (awsomeusername) and The-Bulldozer. Two people and the occasional third. Those two are really good friends of mine but it is still not really encouraging to do this anymore.

And speaking of friends. My friends list brings back memories. A lot of the people for one reson or the other i dont see anymore. Maybe its cause we dont visit the same boards but people like jmar, cupojoe and the likes i dont see around anymore. i just feel as if to me a lot of new people are joining and the old forumites even those i werent that close with have been banned so its like that tight community is just not there any longer i just dont feel the same way about GS any longer.

Yes my friends i got banned a day ago. But im not really making this to talk about my ban but to bring up an issue.

i was looking through my moderation history when i noticed i got modded for "censor bypassing". so i check out the details and come to find i got modded for saying "wtf" . That IMO is really stupid. So i used the phrase "Wtf" that is considered censor bypassing? Thats bull. then that would mean everytime i say STFU or WTF or BS i should get modded no? Well then i made a jurnal entry discussing this issue because i thought it really stupid i got modded for that.

Yes indeeed. i tried to line this post up with the 12'olclock hour when it OFFICIALLy became New years day. 9 beat everyone else.0 So every the year folks :)

Yes sad but true. I have writers block. I cannot seem to be able to think of anything intresting to write about lately. i normaly try to do reviews every weekend or so but havent been able to for the past 3 weeks beacuse i cant think of anything intresting to say. i try to make my reviews great and now im at a stand still :(....... Maybe after chrismas when i get some new games i'll be more enthusiastic and it and ill be able to get over this.
