C'mon, guys, he said he didn't like World of Warcraft. Stop trying to tell him to get WoW if he's already tried it and didn't like it!

You gotta think outside the box. Guild Wars, which is free, is very, very different from other MMO's, and its sort of refreshing. Pretty nice graphics, and all that junk. You might like it because it's not that addictive, and come the school year, you won't be hooked on it like WoW.

If you want to go for something very different, Star Wars: Galaxies is getting better. People are returning to it, and there is a ton of stuff to do. Also, it's the star wars universe, so its fun and familiar.

Nothing like being a Jedi or flying a TIE fighter, in my opinion.

Since you don't like WoW, try something with a smaller fan base, because those games will probably less like the monster that is World of Warcraft.

Oh, and Lord of the Rings Online is to be very WoWish.

If you haven't played it, I'd recommend Oblivion.

It'll hold you over for awhile.

If that's not your thing, Knights of the Old Republic is a great game.

I tried the demo, and I think these episodes are hilarious and clever.

Anyone know if the retail version is going to be cheaper than downloading all the episodes for 35 bucks?

Thanks.

First of all, we're talking about Rome: Total War, right? If so, good. If not, psh, disregard this.

Rome is probably one of my favorite games of all times, but its not something everyone can get in to. Not as complex as say, Civ, but harder than maybe Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War or other RTSs of the type, its a game that really satisfies historical buffs.

One of the cool things about the game is that it's all real places and events, and if you know a lot about the time period, you'll recognize most of it.

If youre too stressed to bother with a campaign, you can set up a quick battle and mow down enemies in a hysterical blaze of glory.

Basically? Im a nerd. But its a great game, and youre missing out.
