[QUOTE="hotmustard"]

I downloaded ad-adware. If I uninstall mcafee it will be a waste of money. Thanks for the tips

Merc009

its best to waste those 60 bucks you spent on mcafee then to get your computer destroyed by viruses

I am too agree with Merc009 what he said

[QUOTE="shootingspy"]your DVD drive lens is most probably giving u such kind of sound, might be your retailer has changed that one , if your drive is under warranty (you said its around 8 months old so its definitely under warranty bcoz all the drive carries One year warranty) go and avail your warranty its nothing to do with the screws.TerroRizing
Probably not, but it could be. Ever put a dvd drive in a pc without screwing it in securely?

Yes i did i always do it in my PC, without screwing the DVD drive , it wont give any noise and for your information I am too into the IT Hardware business for the past 10 years , I know what all hardware dealers are capable of doing or not

All X64 version of XP or Vista supports upto 128GB of RAM and in X32 OS it will always show only upto 3.25GB of RAM ,remember that if your graphic card share your physical memory too then u will have less RAM free but dont go for more than 4GB of RAM its a sheer waste of your money, and first of all check the manual of your MB that how much RAM it supports.

Most probably the small one you are telling will be for the floppy drive (which is totally defunct nowdays nobody use a Floppy drive) and about your HDD detection in BIOS do one thing see the SATA data or the IDE cable are intact on their spots on ur MB ( bcoz u didnt write whether you are having SATA HDD OR PATA HDD ) and also check they are not cut or have any marks on them also check the power connectors of your HDD, I hope it help , if you again having any prob just let me know
