The 360. I only play the exclusives on PS3, everything else goes on 360 due to achievements, established gaming community (and my friends game on 360) and for some reason my PS3 does not let me stream music while I play.

[QUOTE="shsonline"]Thread isnt very well thought out, i started as a console gamer with a atari2600 about 1992 i started pc gaming, i cant remember my original pc's specs, but i could run doom/wolfenstein/duke nukem. But i have no problem using controller or keyboard and mouse. alot of my pc games i will use the 360 pad just because it's more comfortable to lay down and play then sit proped up in a chair using keyboard and mouse. This is going to really blow your mind, alter your entire perception of reality. Get this: the reason why hermits and consolites can't seem to co-exist peacefully is simple...
Control scheme.
I haven't gamed heavily on the PC since the days of Full Throttle, Duke Nukem, and Ages of The Empires II. Since then, I've become not only acquainted, but TRAINED to play with a gamepad. So even though I just upgraded my PC, started playing games like CounterStrike, Left4Dead and FEAR 2 with KB/M...I did not get engaged. Retraining myself on the KB/M was just...too annoying. Too many buttons...I felt like I was going to accidentally hit the wrong key and that my mouse was too scattershot. So I did what the logical person would do. I went out and got a gamepad (the good news is it also works for my PS3). BUTTTTTT...I then had to reconfigure the buttons and some of the buttons that I wanted to use due to feeling intuitive just did not work. Sure you can get profiles for games but its just one more extra thing.
Now I'm not that narrowminded to think PC gamers have the same difficulty when trying to get into console games. So they often feign interest in a Wii due to the somewhat similar mouselike control scheme. I've been in forums where a PC gamer buys a PS3 to play KZ2 and complains about the gamepad and the sticks and how it turns them off.
The point is this...all the platforms have good games (except for the Wii), and its not a matter of quality titles or free online this or free achievements that...its a matter of control preference.
The sooner we gamers can realize this the sooner we can work towards a better understanding of the "other" gamer.

So because you disagree the thread isn't thought out? Just say you disagree next time. I DO have trouble playing KB/m and that's because I haven't played with it for some time (at least not with shooters). I don't think it would be a stretch to say some PC gamers have trouble with consoles because of having to teach themselves dual analog and vice versa.

Get an arcade 360 and get a PS3. It would be a shame if you missed out on all the future titles and the apparent satisfaction you got from the 360 because of someone elses crimes....and the local police can't find out who did it. So here's what I'm gonna do: get a PS3. I've gone through several 360s now. Mostly because of the RROD. Now this. Time to try something new. I've pretty much seen most of what the 360 has to offer and I feel like I'm missing out since I have yet to play KZ2, Uncharted, MGS4, and Ratchet and Clank Future, among others.
Any other games worth picking up while I'm at it?
P.S. It's ridiculous how rare it is for a robbery case to be solved.

I recently got a PS3 and new HDTV like yourself and briefly debated getting a Wii.
When I say briefly it had to be like 2 seconds. The only reason I would have gotten one would be for my son and GF, but my son already has a GC and my wife was not impressed nor amused when we played it at a friends house.
IMO, it would be a waste of money, based on your tastes in gaming in HD.

Does you're wife know about you're GF?
I didn't think of that though. I know my girlfriend would love the Wii (she's a big Mario fan) and my kids are really too young to play it (2 and 1).
Nice catch. I guess I can't bring myself to say fiance yet. Anyway...my point is that the games are generally either too simplistic or the good quality titles are too few and far between. And when I think of video games, the "video" part is just as important as the gaming part. But there are some that claim they feel differently.I recently got a PS3 and new HDTV like yourself and briefly debated getting a Wii.

MS deserves a ton of props for the progress theyve brought to the gaming biz. They were the ones who introduced a unified online service that worked (thats why I'm excluding Dreamcast) to the masses. They forced the other consoles to take that facet of gaming seriously and they made Nintendo completely change their business model in order to be competitive again after beating them with their first go-round. They brought PC type games to the masses, and they also pushed forward digital distribution.
Much props to MS.
See how the analog sticks and the spacing of the controllers just make it awkward. Not to mention the lack of resistance on the trigger buttons. All I'm saying is that the game would have been a perfect game if it were on the 360. Or if the PS3 had a more FPSfriendly controller.
