Hi everyone, I'm really starting to appreciate the battery life that my Original DS still has (it's
almost 4 years old) in comparision to the battery usage when I use my IPOD Touch to play games. There
was a short period of time that I was not utilizing the DS much but now that I realize the DS gives me
better battery usage I've been back to playing my DS games again. I realize that battery life is better with
the DS because it is only made to be able to play games and not for other multi media functions that can
drain the battery. The battery life is the reason that I will not be purchasing a DSI. I've always appreciated
that Nintendo has felt that gaming is the most important thing whether it be in their consoles or handhelds (though
with the new DSI it looks like Nintendo is trying to compete with the PSP). Anyone else glad for the battery life of their
DS?

Hi everyone,
I've had my DS Phat for just about 4 years now and was wondering if my DS Phat is dying out on me. It seems that
I have to charge it almost daily (though have to admit that I do use my DS daily). Just wondering how long the
life of a DS Phat is if you use it daily. I haven't always played the DS on a daily basis but the last few months I've been
playing it daily. I've always told myself when my Phat dies then I will buy a DS lite (always liked the look of
the crimson/black DS Lite). I realize in 09 the DSI will be coming out but I like the fact that the DS Lite, like the Phat
has the GBA slot and the fact that the DSI will have a shorter battery life is worrisome since what matters most
for myself when it comes to the DS is just being able to play the games (do not care about the added multi media
that the new DSI has, especially if it can't retain a long battery charge when playing). Any thoughts would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks

Hi everyone,
Last Friday I bought Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords for 11.99 on sale at
Toyrs R Us. I had heard of this game in the past but just never got around to buying it.
I am so glad I finally got this game. I love it! I've always loved puzzle games and have only
recently spent time playing a few RPG's (usually find them to be a bit frustating). To have
both a puzzle and RPG in one game is great. I love the fact that even if you don't beat an enemy you still gain
something and the fact that you can always save anywhere makes this game a big plus. The only
problem with this game is the fact that it can be quite addicting, lol. Just wanted to hear from
others as to their thoughts on this game. Thanks

Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who responded to my post. It's nice
to hear from people who do not think anything is wrong with playing the DS when you are my
age (46). I was wondering why some people think it's okay to spend mindless hours
watching tv but not okay to spend time with games that are in the categories of strategy, puzzles and
many others genres when one is really giving their brain a workout. Thanks again and happy DS gaming!
Hi,
I'm just wondering how many older gamers play their DS regularly like myself.
I do realize that I'm not the only older gamer (I'm 46), but have a teenager who
feels very embarrassed that mom is still playing video games. It's kind of ironic since the reason
I originally purchsed the DS Phat almost 4 years ago was for this same person but a few years
after the purchase I was the one who was hooked on playing it, lol. I find playing
my DS not only entertaining but also as a way to wind down from a stressful day of work and to keep
my memory working with some challenging DS games. I also have a Gamecube but no longer
play it and just focus on the DS. Why should it matter what age a person is if
they are enjoy playing the DS, yet some people will always think of video games as something one
should outgrow as they reach adulthood. I plan on playing video games for many years to come even
though noone I know who is my age plays them. Thanks for reading this and any thoughts/feedback
would be appreciated.
till it eventually comes down in price.
Hi everyone,
I have had the original Touchmaster since it first came out and still play it daily. Was
wondering how Touchmaster 2 is. Have not seen reveiws on this game yet and wonder
what people who have this game think of it. Is it worth the price of 29.99? Any feedback
would be greatly apprciated. Thank you
Hi everyone,
Just a question? I have the DS Phat but it is beginning to not hold battery for that long and eventually willl have
have to get a new DS. Will I still be able to get a DS Lite when the new DS comes out? I really do not want to have to
pay 189 dollars for the new DS and do not like the idea of the new DS not having a GBA slot and a shorter battery life
due to the multi media like the web browser etc. I have always loved the fact that the DS was just a gaming device and not
trying to be a PSP by being a multi media device. I've always admired the fact that Nintendo really wanted to focus on games
and therfore wasn't trying to have other media on their consoles or portables. It would be different if they made a change in terms
of the Graphics (though I have to say the graphics on most DS games have been quite good). I also like the Crimson/black DS
and when my DS no longer works would like to get that one. Also was hoping that maybe they would continue to sell
the DS Lite but just have the price come down. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi,
Just have to comment on how much I love playing Mystery Case Files: Millionheir. Before
I purchased this game was afraid that it might be too easy and would finish it quickly. I was wrong
on both counts. I enjoy this type of gameplay and hope they make more of these games. The graphics
are really good. I'm so glad this game is part of the Touch Generation games and is selling for 19.99. Just
wondering how many other people also really love playing this and your thoughts on this game?
Hi again,
I'm looking forward to all the new games coming out on the DS that will
be arriving this month and onward. The only problem is deciding which ones
to get now and which ones to wait for because I'm never sure how long
a game will be available for. Yesterday I picked up Hotel Dusk it
was reissued this week and might now be a Touch Generation game
(my copy has that logo). I also want Mystery File Cases: MillionHeirs, Unsolved Crimes
Sherlock Holmes, Touchmaster 2 and many others. The only problem is I wish they had more games
that were in the 19.99 price range. The most I have paid for a game is 29.99 and realize
that most of the new games I want are that price. I might just have to space out my
purchases to make it more affordable.
I'm not complaining about the new releases I'm ecstatic, the only downside is deciding
which games to buy when they come out and which ones to wait for. I love my DS Phat and
will miss the day when my DS no longer works (well the upside will be upgrading to a DS Lite).
