I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing a disconnect or issues with the controller or game input when switching between any apps? In my case it is the "unlimited music" service. I happily got myself a BF4 bundle and signed up for the service once PSN was running half decent.

So i make a playlist etc, and finally figure out how to hold down the "home" button on the controller and pull up the song that is playing. I can turn it up and down, change the track etc etc.. But when i hit "home" again to go back to the game(BF4 in this case) nothing happens. The game continues to play on fine, it does not freeze, and i can still switch back to the dashboard and do other things. the only thing i cant do is control my game. no buttons work, all i can do is quit the application. Kind of frustrating.

Overall im pretty happy with the console at this point, but this is kind of a bummer.

the TL DR version:

When i use the music unlimited service during BattleField 4 by holding down the "home" button on the controller to change tracks or adjust volume, my game input dies. so when i switch back to BF4 i have no control. game runs, but cant do anything. i can only quit.

anyone else with this issue or anyone know something i do not about how to fix this? do i have to tell the controller to look at the game again? thanks for the help folks!

In Revelations I would join with a party of me and a friend or two(2-3 people in my party) and try to find a game. Three things would happen:

1-kick my friends out, finding only me a game

2-never find a game. just look for a game forever3-find a game, but put us on seperate teams. Cant switch teams unless they are fair either, so usually even if i waited until the game was over to have my friend then join my team, there would either be no room, or not enough people to have him join the team i am on.

bought the online pass but could never play with friends without BS not working.

Does this game fix those issues?

I have played every assassins creed game, and after I was on the end of brotherhood I decided to give the MP a try, and I found it brilliant.

Played it to level 50, all was well and I was so happy I found a game that wasnt all about shooting. I picked up Revelations months later only to find out that matchmaking didnt properly pair us up.
What I mean is this:

I would join with a party of me and a friend or two(2-3 people in my party) and try to find a game. Three things would happen:

1-kick my friends out, finding only me a game

2-never find a game. just look for a game forever

basically i played it through the BS, but rarely did my friends want to play due to these issues. Really lame because i love the MP in these games.

Are these issues fixed? is it easy to be in a party and get in a game together? I bought the game from a friend who had completed it and would like to know if the online pass is worth it. I basically gave 10 bucks to Ubisoft for nothing in revelations(glad to do so, but wish it worked correctly)

Can someone clear this up or tell me how it works? Sorry for the long post, just wanted to be clear about my issues.

@lord- basically what you wrote describes me as well. loved and owned them all, played SKATE and loved that for different reasons but always wished they would do something like this. and @race- i never said a word about blowing stuff up. also, i dont know why anyone even WOULD make that point seeing as this is a skateboarding game. obviously none of those things would be happening? Overall, ive had this game for a few days now and ive played it a few times, every time is frustrating. probably the first time in history ive been a little bitter about an arcade game purchase. humbug. haha

I didnt read one review or watch one video about this game, i simply purchased it and played it. when i was younger, i tried to skip school when THPS2 came out because i loved it so much. needless to say i still had to go to school...

the point is, this game is pretty horrible. ugly, sluggish, and the controls are somehow... TOO spot on. too fast. its like they took one of the newer games engines and downgrade. makes me sad inside...

anyways, if you are thinking of buying this game because you liked the old games, DONT. if you want to re learn how to play it, check this out.

overall, its an OK port, but just not really... i dunno... its just off a bit. not the worst game ever, but it almost makes me want to go play SKATE instead, which is a good series as well... but sad... still

anyways, thats all i wanted to say. i dont post much, so pardon me if this is nonsense.

Wow, i left for a while and people actually responded. thanks guys! and btw those headphones look crazy, i want to see them on your head, haha. So boz says there is only one headset on the market that has discrete drivers eh? why have multiple speakers in all these other headphones if it is still matrixed? or is there something i am missing? Im liking the sound of those trittons the more i look at them... hmmmm. and yeah, i still have not made the purchase, im really trying to figure this out before i drop 3 digits on effing headphones. heh. Not at all in it for the abuse factor, I just want headphones that dont totally suck, and If i pay hundreds of dollars for them, i wan to be able to return them with no issues.

That being said, the 2 nights I have used these turtle beaches... i am in love with the way i can hear my own voice so i dont have to be loud when i talk.

i wish the sharkoons had this... sigh..

so what are the best turtle beaches... damnit. i dont want to have to give in to a brand name if theres something better, but im loving this feature.

I guess those sharkoons have adjustable sound volumes in every way... so unless its straight up distorted, or i play at some ridiculous level of volume, perhaps ill be ok.

anyone know anything about amazons return policy?

heh

Also- is ther a pair out there that can ACTUALLY do 5.1 wirelessly?

i was looking at these PX5s but there are some features i dont like. i do like the fact that they are wireless, and they can do blutooth to my xbox, AND my phone or whatever. pretty pimp.

basically im just looking for a pair that does true 5.1 with multiple speakers, has adjustable speaker volumes etc etc. and still have decent sound quality.

im looking at the sharkoons xtatic true 5.1s right now, but im not sure. some reviews say they sound like crap, but have awesmoe ways to make the sound custom etc etc.

wireless would be alright, but whatever. wired that sounds good will do fine.

can ANYONE friggin help a homie out here? throw me a bone, you know?

thanks again. sorry for the double post im sure its annoying.
