to add to the above, and as redundant as it may be to state, make sure you have a wireless-g (too bad ps3 doesn't have wireless-n)router hooked up to your cable/dsl modem

btw, game-wise, what was it about msg4 that made it stand out for people? i'm not talking graphics or story but actual game play. how was it innovative?

[QUOTE="patriots7672"]MGS 4 needed about 25% more gameplay and 25% less cut-scene play time. Then it would've been perfect.---Saint---

People like you kind of annoy me. Do you not care about the storyline and characters or what? Of course you probably don't since most gamers are brain-dead and do not know how to read a book. So how could they possibly enjoy a story in their games? I guess they can't.

i'm confused by what you are trying to say, but i read it as the actual game play doesn't matter so long as it has a good story?

as far as i know, you can't buy a blu-ray drive from a store that will play ps3 games, just ones that will burn and play blu-ray media on the pc.

one option may be to do a search on craigslist or regular internet for ps3 parts and hope that someone has stripped their ps3 for whatever reason and is selling it chop-shop style

Nah. No matter how much anyone debates with me, GTA IV was the best of this year.It had the graphics, Story, Physics system thats 100x better than MGS4's, It was pretty long, (Longer than MGS and its Cutscenes) Plus it had a very good and addicting online, Which Sweeped the floor of MGS4. MGS4 was mostly cutscenes, And god damn it was a quick game, Im not going to say a Movie is game of the year.

Great game, Not game of the year. GTA IV won for a reason at the real awards, Learn from that....

Question: Have you even played MGS4?

And its a great question. :P GTA4 wasnt even as good as its PS2 predecessors in my opinion. They took out every ounce of fun in favor of realism.

for me, that realism is what made it fun. it added a fresh take on the series and gave it a shot in the arm. if i want mindless killing with no real objective, i will revisit saints row. i like the grittines of the game and the feeling in instilled in me

wich is better ? 720p or 1080i ?

Will 720p games look better on 1080p TV ? ?

which is better ( 1 or 2 ) ?

1 - 720p game on 720p Tv
2- 720p game on 1080p tv

Xomonuchi

most if not all 1080p tv's also support everything from 480p upward and you can pick which resolution to use manually or it can do it automatically. so it's not really much of an issue of will it look better since the tv will match it's inpt resolution

[QUOTE="sincgar1"]by the way, on the wega trinitron, it is hdtv ready and can get anything from 420p upto 1080i with converter box. so you should get crisper picture using the sony componebt cables and with both games and moviesZantozzzz
well yes I can set my screen to 16:9, does it mean that I can work with 1080i using the 16:9 screen?

your tv is hd ready, you still need a hd tuner to get hd. they are cheaper now and you should be able to get one online for a good price
