If I do end up getting a WiiU, I'm going to pick this game up because I've always wanted to try the DS game but I never got to it because I'm not doing a lot of handheld gaming right now. But one on the console my suit my tastes.
I have to remember that this is NOT going to be like the original NFS: Most Wanted but will be Criterion's spin on it. Hopefully it'll be just as good, if not better. It's just hard to tear myself away from the original though because it was so good.
It's good they've made a few changes to the tablet controller. I'm not sure if they confirmed if it was only going to be one per console use but if it it's multiple, that would be very good. I just hope they don't focus on gimmicky uses for the controller but add practical uses for the touch screen.
And what I'm really looking forward to on the Pro controller is the D-pad. Nintendo usually has great D-pads so if Nintendo is going to get the third-party support that they said they were going to do and have the hardware suitable, then the Wii U might be a good fighting game console alternative to the PS3. That's not saying it will trump the PS3 or that events like EVO would start using the Wii U but it is saying that it will be a console to place fighting games on if the D-pad holds up.
As much as AC: Revelations let me down (yet it was still pretty good), I am excited about AC III. It looks fresh and it looks like there are going to be enough changes to make the parkour style platforming and combat just as refreshing without totally overhauling it. The environment and war-time setting is going to help with that.
