Haha sorry I didnt know how much info exactly is needed to help you guys out.
Hey there, I need help upgradeing my current rig. Problem is, I only have a budget of 500-600 dollars. Is there anyway I can upgrade my current rig into something that can play most modern games on high settings smoothly? If not whats the absolute best way I can upgrade with my budget? Thank you very much.

Alright thanks guys. I'll definantly have to try Arma 2 then. I'm gonna have to upgrade the CPU first though.
Hello guys. I'm really freakin bored right now and I just have to ask, even though I'm pretty sure the answer is no. But is there a game, or a mod of any game, for any system, that fits the following description:
First off this has got to be singleplayer. Or at least playable in singleplayer. But is there a game where you are placed in a giant battle (one that can last hours) as just a soldier? Like you are just this very small, non-essential force and alls you can do is follow orders? The battle you are in is dynamic and the winner can change every time. You will either not command anyone or only a small squad in this huge battle. But overall you have no direct control over the entire army and have little say in the outcome of the battle. Your just a soldier who follows orders and the battle plays out from there.
So, anything?
Alright I'll definantly have to try that out. heard about that a WHILE ago before it was done. And yes I love mods haha. PR accually came out with a new update last week I think it was. Really shaping up to be incredible. I can't even imagine what that mod is going to acheive when they hit version 1.0. There at .95 right now. If you ever get back into Project Reality let me know, we could squad up. That is if you don't mind the fact I don't have a mike and have horrible aim. I'm only good for suppresive fire really. Well thanks again for the help.
Thank you very much. This looks like what I was looking for. I'll leave this up for a few more people to comment on and add too. Thanks again. Btw, my inspiration to upgrade my CPU came from a mod for Battlefeild 2 called, Project Reality. Such a great mod I just had to be able to play it smoothly. Ever heard of it?
Alright, I'd like to stay within the 150-200 dollar range. But of course it will probably go over.
bump
Like I said, just give me the cheapest rig that can play all games on at least medium preferably from best buy. I figured I would need a new motherboard. Thanks for confiming it.
