Hi all.

I last played Resistance Fall of man multiplayer in December 2011,then my 60GB died.Recently got my new 320GB slim, tried to get on Resistance multiplayer again, but kept getting some error message?-So is that it for the Multiplayer?

Gutted if it is-I always enjoyed that one more than Resistance 2 online.

how is halo 4 good? it looks exactly the same as halo reach and no 1-50 rank system, so no point in playing itJustSignedUp

Ah!-But You are So wrong.

Halo 4 Multiplayer combines all the Best vehicles and weapons from previous Halos. Also throws Great new weapons,Massive maps that look and play Gloriously, and basically has put the fun back into playing Halo Multiplayer.

If you don't have a copy, then you're truly missing out!

I think you'll have to just get a new one. Even if there is a method on the internet that works, most fixed PS3's are highly prone to get it again from what I've read.

Venom_Raptor

I should wait and save for a new PS3.I had my YLOD 60GB professionally repaired at start of this year and it lasted all of 6 weeks and went again.I sent it back in for free/repair warranty, but they couldn't do anything with it,think the graphics card had fried,so sadly I had to sell my 60gb as spares.

Hi PS3 guys,

I am planning to purchase a PS3 very soon. The 12gb super slim PS3 looks very appealing because of its low price but I am not sure if 12GB is enough harddisk space. Are there any games that require mandatory 12gb+ installs? And is the disk drive loud if you don't install the games? The xbox 360 runs like a lawn mower if you don't install the games.

NaturalDisplay

NOPE-Cos most games are around 5GB to install,so you'll soon tire of installing, deleting, installing games.

Shop around and spend your money wisely on a current slim model, the 320Gb you can get at bargain price now.

Dont know about running cooler but in the ign unboxing video they said Sony mentioned its supposed to run a bit louder then the current slim. I doubt it'll run cooler though. Less space for ventilation more chances of overheating. It was like that from fat PS2 to slim PS2 and from fat PS3 to current slim PS3. This one will probably overheat more easily. I just bought a current slim before they're replaced by the new ones. For roughly the same a super slim 12gb will cost (229 euros) I bought a current 160gb slim plus GT5... way better of a deal if you ask meVatusus

Same here-I just picked up a brand new current model 320Gb slim, with move starter bundle thrown in,Sorcerer game and Blu ray film Karate Kid for roughly £45 less than the stand alone new super slim 500gb.

I read an e-mail from Sony announcing the 28th Sept launch of the new slimmer/lighter PS3 and liked the pics. But after seeing the Gamespot unboxing video of the new system, which showed the top loading/sliding lid,it put me off, because I much more prefer the front/slot loading of the current slim.

So I bought a brand new 320gb slim with move bundle thrown in at a knock down price yesterday.

Go for it.There are now some great deals on the current slim PS3 because of the new slimmer, lighter version coming out the end of September.I just bought a new slim 320gb yesterday, with a move, eyecam bundle thrown in at a bargain price.

Even if a PS4 is announced for end of 2013/2014-that's a hellaof a long way off yet for you to get your moneys worth from a new PS3.

I shouldn't think so,the majority of people that buy consoles do so because they are consoles-with gamepads, and wouldn't want to use a keyboard or mouse, cos there's already pcs and Macs that do that job.

I would get it, therese so much potential in the original ps3 you can run linux. backward capable with ps2 and 1 game i think the ps1 is via sim. but still that feature is rarely mentioned

accesdenied

I think one of the previous updates blocked the linux feature on all original PS3s for "security" reasons, cos i once installed it on my launch 60GB PS3,but when i purchased my 2nd ps3-A 80gb "FAT" model,i seem to remember not being able to install linux.
