He died at the Braves game on Monday. The parents on the guy are blaming the organization for not making the park safe enough.

Now the Braves and the Red Sox are competing for best record in the whole MLB, I believe Atlanta is up by 1...but Boston has #1 RPI because it's a lot harder to win against Baltimore, NY Yankees, Tampa Bay, Detroit, and Texas than Miami, Philly, Washington, and NY Mets :D

Anyone know anything about MLB's fan contest "Beat the Streak?"

Someone's 10 days away with a hit from the $5.6 million prize. Basically, you pick someone who will get a hit and the streak starts from there. As long as you pick a batter that will get even one hit, the streak continues. If your selected batter goes 0-fer, the streak resets. The goal is to get 57 straight days with at least one hit, one more than the ML record of 56.

My dad does it every day, he has never beaten the streak of 12 :D I like ESPN's Streak for the Cash. But they both are pretty cool! And our family wants $5,600,000 so hopefully he doesn't win it but good luck to him!

And now the dog days of sports summer are over (no NBA/NHL/NFL, and summer baseball is pretty eventless...). But I'm still bitter that my Bears couldn't play the 2011 HoF game due to the lockout :(

I actually saw the Braves play Spring Training in Disney World, I see them every time I go :) And I have a "uniform" for them when I was on Little League a while ago...

On a different note, I've been checker training (Cashier training) at work the past couple of days, and today I actually had to do it with customers... Yeah, that was nerve wrecking for sure. I messed up a couple of times, but you learn as you go on. Just thought I'd share. :P
