Back to the basics.

Yeap, I started playing Zelda: OoT again as I'm playing the waiting game until Mass Effect arrives. Awesome game except for one thing... MY TV!!! The TV seems to not be compatible with videogame consoles making all the colours grey to blue to white gic¡ving one a seizure like feeling if you play or watch it for one hour straight. My 360 also has this problem sometimes but not as bad as my GC. Oh god it's terrible!!! Well at least that gives me more time to study for the exams... if I WEREN'T SO LAZY. lol

I've watched Shaun of the Dead, hilarious. Dead rising made me want to watch that movie.

"The plan is we go to my moms. Kill my step dad. Go to Liz's pick her up. Come back here and drink a cup of tea and wait for all of this to blow over." Shaun's plan to escape from the zombies.

Baldur's resurrection?

As most of you know, Too human has been having it's ups and downs recently (downs being E3 2006 demo showing). The hype before that demo was huge but what happened is that Silicon Knights (Dev team) showed an early build of the game. Either way it was a disaster and the System Wars forum were in an uproar of cows claiming ownage and Lemmings doing damage control (lol, system wars). Recently a **** load of info. has been streaming through IGN (only IGN) and I'm quite impressed by this game. Norse mythology and sci-fi, yes please! 4 player co-op? You gotta be kiddin' me!! God YES!

On other news I have killed 10,000 zombies as well as played some Crackdown. I was also oned yesterday in Gears of War (2 vs. 1 = impossible to win in Gears since there's no team to do teamwork with and since this game is about teamwork you'r pretty much screwed lol)

On the movie front: I have seen the departed (Finally!). All I can say wow. Genious! Deserves a 9.2/10 in my book (I'm a pretty tough critic too lol).

I have also watched Alpha Dog while waiting for a mom's friend to arrive in the train. To kill the time, I watched it and all I can say is. Meh.... 6.3/10

Getting PS3 this summer

Yup. Pretty much what the title says. I have 55 Euros and I'm saving up 420 Euros for the summer to buy it in the US (Cheaper because of conversion rate:P). Still have a lot of money and way to go. lol

Dead Rising

All I have to say is wow. :) This game is pretty fun. The zombie slaughter is just awesome although I have a little problem. It's a problem of choice. I'm currently only at level 5 and have completed all the cases of the first day as well as having killed about 150 zombies. I was wondering what would be the best thing to do right now. Follow thes story and get the true ending as well as infinite mode or attempt to get the Zombie Genocider achievement to beef my character up as well as to get the Mega Man Blaster.

Any input is great and tips are greatly appreciated. I'm currently in the Security Room and its gotten dark. Are there any scoops that I should attempt to do without getting killed until the next day to kill the time. Although I'm usually squirmish about zombies and the dark.

For some strange reason I usually stay away from zombie games because they usually scare me. lol I hate zombies :P It's the only creature that scares me and makes me lose my cool probably because they are like humans and worse and as many movies and philosophers have shown us, in an apocalyptic scenario the worst enemy is us. Anyway now I'm just rambling on about my fear. At least I feel safe knowing that there is a machete above my bed. Lets see the zombies try to catch me ;)

PS: I have achieved Master Agent achievement in Crackdown. I wonder how many people I killed lol. Probably A LOT.

1000 GP (caps)

Today I have achieved 1000 GP. Finally, w00t. Now I'm not a total newbie lol. Next goal 5000! :P

On other news, I've got Dead Rising but I'm not allowed to play it until Sunday because it's an Easter day present. I hope that the game is good.

Poetry

This poem is based of the death of Piggy in "The Lord of the Flies" which I wrote in English class in 10 minutes, enjoy.

The Death of Piggy

"Child's play," they thought,

Who would have known?

Nothing, nothing,

Nothing but a game.

Who was to know?

The rock lunged

Thumped, trembling the earth.

Fiercely, falling, tumbling.

It just fell

An accident.

Who would care?

Furiously it smacked him.

A squeal to its death.

His fail mind,

Fragilely, fragmented crustacean's shell,

All,

All crushed.

Its essence trickled

Down to the earth

Feeding the beast?

No,

Feeding mankind.

Who was to know?

No.

We should have known.

We were yet to know.

Proving William Golding wrong. HA!!

Today during an intense debate in English class concerning the statement "Human Nature is essentially evil" (me being against the statement) I discovered a weak spot in the opposing side's argument where they were talking about insticts and society and how society and religion are what keep our evil side inside of us. Then I thought, wait a minute....

EUREKA!!!!!!!

Society was created by our forefathers, by OUR instincts. It is a part of us, we have created the measures to control evil. If our instincts have created the cage for our inner evil than there must be some good inside of us. Human nature is not to create evil and dispair but to survive as a species and if we want to survive than we can't just start going mad and killing everybody since that would be a bad strategy. Our instincts are bent on self-preservation, not evil and if we are able to comprehend evil there must be a good side in us telling us what is evil and what is good.

I have just proved William Golding wron as well as "Lord of the FLies". Serves him right for making us study his book and being able to create his own words. Oh, look at me, I'm William Golding. I can create neologisms whenever I want."

Golding's view in Lord of the Flies is pessimistic, arguing that human nature is inherently corruptible and wicked, and so the 19th century ideals of progress and education are based on false premises. The real nature of the human being is not as innocent as we like to think, and Golding's ideas give a complete explanation to the atrocities of war. Symbolism plays an important role in the development of the story, with the narrative technique being used to give significance to certain people or objects, which in fact represent some other figure. The island stands as a microcosm representing the world, with the Beast being the dark side of human nature and the evil residing within everyone.

Special thanks to anybody on my side since we won thanks to this and other smart statements. If anybody would like to destroy this argument I would like to see you try.
