@itchyflop: sorry I may have misinterpreted your shiny new PS5 version as the PS5 upgraded version that leverages all the new PS5 next gen tech.

CDPR suggested next year for the next gen versions ... this is just the initial version that will obviously run on the PS5 but would be the same version as other platforms

@itchyflop: It does not mean that ... it means that testing the initial version for 9 separate platforms is taking more time that expected with covid 19 restrictions on work from home

@edargnwod: they arent releasing the next gen upgrades, they are releasing a the first version that has to run on all those systems including next gen ... all have different OSes and APIs so must be tested independently thats all.

@illegal_peanut: creating entertainment media is expensive and is cash up front ... you risk all of your investment on something new, if it reviews poorly you lose your shirt, if it reviews well you make a mint (but this is hard to do), if it review mediocre and people are familiar your risk reduces but so does your reward, but its a safer bet

some of these new games cost a lot ... i mean a lot, to make so you have to cut these teams a bit of slack, unless you are buying every new IP out there to support the teams

@Scarface720: Not sure about this store but when i got xbox one x and tried to trade xbox 360 and xbox one, microsoft store would only allow one trade in per new unit ... i assume its similar here

@93ChevyNut: No one sets out to make an average game. Making a game is a massive investment of time and resources with zero guarantee you will receive anything back, at some point you have to release what you have or lose that investment.
