"The whole "lets post a bunch of threads saying PS3 is done for" thing is getting really annoying.BigBadLanTerNsorry i dont spend half my day on gamespot. i didnt see any post so... its not my fault
skulper34's forum posts
I think ps3 did great for what it could, we see some games that helped keep it alive. However do you guys remember those hardcore sony fanboys every year even before the console was released saying that when the ps3 is out it will dominate the 360? How about this one "Next year will be Ps3's year" How many years did we hear that? since launch people havent given up hope on theps3and once that year failed they assumed the next would come.
I cant help but see sort of a loss. i dont think ps3 is accually dying to the point where no one else will buy one or anything what im getting to is that they aren't becoming as successful as anyone thought, even the fanboys.
They are losing exlusives left and right, and now? lost a developer. I am sure sony had great ideas and plans! but the economy is something they were not prepaired for. i think if the economy was in a better state than it is now or in the past years it would live longer. The costs to make a game for ps3 is so high, yet little income in return for all their effort. Sony doesnt earn much from each ps3 sold i heard that puts them into a greater loss.
I guess one could argue they arent because of their E3 press conference but come on. do you really think sony would magically get #1 over god of war 3? it will get more people in, sure but lets not exagurate, when was the last time any console sky rocket in sales over 1 game or just a few. do you think sony has something that would put them back into the console war? because as far as i see it, sony is deffinately isn't in on it. E3 we just saw games, thats about it and a wii like controller with more enhanced controlling... and how many games do they have that uses this device? im sure if someone wanted a controller to move around they would go over the wii which has a tons of fun games. What is everyone else's thoughts?
i will be upgrading this monday, im hoping its free like last year
haha, well there are some areas who dont have fios yet, but will soon, dont worry. Fios gives you no cap, no bandwidth limit. best of all, you always get you full speed that you pay for. i always get a rate of 20.50+ on speed tests and on upload i get 19.xx+I want Verizon cable, but it's not in my area. Optimum(Cablevision) is the worst possible cable solution out there. My old timewarner was maybe 200 times faster at changing channels and doing anything I feel like cablevision is like an old man while every other cable company is like a young athlete.--Rant Over and completely off-topic lol

DSL is ok it all comes down to what you use it for. I run a FTP server and webhosting also do some heavy gaming and have 5 PCs at home... so yeah DSL would NOT be suitable for me, i acctually upgraded from DSL it was a nightmare lol when someone was watching a simple youtube video, everyone else would lag like crazyI still have Verizon DSL and I'm fine with it's speed.

How many at gamespot have fios? it seems like every year they upgrade, over a year agothe most basic speed was 5/2 then was upped to 10/2 last year. now its going to be 15/5
(1) What speeds are available and where?
10/2 -> 15/5 (all service areas)
20/5 -> 25/15 (all service areas)
20/20 -> upgraded to 35/20 in NYC only
50/20 -> No change

This was just posted on the fios forum this morning. I currently have the 20/20 which sucks because i live in California. Which wont be upgrading for me but i cant have bundle with 20/20 so on monday i will be bundling my phone/tv/internet and pay $100 less per month with only sacrificing 5Mb upload but gain 5Mb download :D
This is good news for anyone who currently has fios
not considered overpriced? is this something you made up on your own or your friend told you this? yeah i juse saw those specs and deffinately ARE overpriced compared to what you could get with builduing it yourself. you could get double the ram, double the hard drive storage, tripple the gpu power, better overall performance for that exact same ammount put it this way with alienware a pc that cost you like $700-$1,000 to build they add close to a grand when you buy it from them it costs you close to a grand moreDO you think that this computer is suitable for someone like me? I was just looking over some computers because my desktop is just so bad, it crashes all the time and my friends just tell me to buy a new computer and one of my friends recommended this one to me :
I want :
- Core i7 Processor
- 1 TB storage
- over 6GB DDR3 Memory
- play games like WoW, Dota, CSS, L4D, COD4, and other popular games
- quiet
- not considered overpriced > would cost less than buying the same parts and building itIs this computer suitable for me and
Do you think that there would be a chance for this computer to lower their prices a tiny bit?If not, what other desktops are recommended that is similar to this desktop?
Please and thanks (:
